Isn't Friday a holiday though?

I've got a UPS package supposed to be delivered Friday but it's going to sit in a warehouse and won't get it until Tuesday with the x-long weekend. UPS can suck my resonated test pipes!

Boomzig 04-12-2017 05:42 AM

UPS will be open and doesn't close for Good Friday.

No worries:tiphat:

How many others had the high flow cats cause a check engine light?

What brand of cats and did you disconnect the battery before the install?

I would recommend disconnecting the battery for a minute. This will reset the computer allowing it to adjust the new cats. This may remedy the CEL.

Generally speaking, I would recommend doing this for all intake and exhaust mods.

It was nice while it lasted...

after disconnecting the battery, the CEL was off for about 50 miles and then came back on.

I guess this Friday I am getting a quick tune done to disable the rear O2's.

Sorry it didn't work. Hopefully the mechanic will be able to correct it.

Mine JUST arrived today!

Went with the standard cb with 18" res + CF mufflers. I'm old, so wanted something a bit chill for long trips. Order 521, never got any other number other than that:

He said that's is ORDER #. The four digit number is the EXHAUST #, which is different.

Order #521 pertains to our website ordering system. Your exhaust system number is actually #1612.

Thank you all for your patience during this busy time of the year. Even more thanks to those waiting for Prismatic tips. We are doing everything possible to complete orders in a timely fashion.

It is worth the wait and the $$$.

Just had my FI 18" SS Exhaust installed by Husam2012. Recd it two weeks ago and waited for him to install.

Been riding with no radio all day. :driving::ughdance:

Got a chance to see his Z Turbo build and setup. Husam is an amazing. Check out his thread in "Forced Induction" on this site.

S/O to FI and Kevin.

Exhaust note is Music!!

#1586 18" SS with prismatic tips shipped today! ETA Tuesday!

***** UPDATE 06-02-2017*****

Okay so I WISH I would have done the high flow cats. The exhaust has quieted down a bit. It's still fun! Either I've gotten used to it or it's now a hair quieter. So if you're on the fence, either go with 12" res, or 18" res + High flow cats! Also, if you have the 7AT, you're going to utilize manual mode more, so, I've noticed higher temps because of this decision, therefor I'm getting the Z1 oil cooler as my next mod (24 row as it seems to be the best balance for year round driving here in Oregon).

LOVE the exhaust, still cannot believe I did three years in jail with the stock setup, and I'm a more conservative personality.

****************************

Just had #1612 installed at the Nissan for $110 yesterday (1hr labor).

Abosolutly ASTONISHING!!!! 1000-3200 rpms it sounds like a V8 from inside the car. Above that it quiets down. Completely transformed the car!

About 6 techs at the dealer were all gathered around when they fired it up and gave it a few good revs. Smiles galore!!! If Nissan was smart (they're not), they would partner with FI and offer this exhaust as a dealer installed option on all Z's.

Couldn't be happier, and I was skeptical about power increases on N/A, but it actually DOES Pull better, especially in 2nd/3rd gear on my 7/AT. From a complete stop on warm tires, she's all over the place under full throttle in first gear :stirthepot: I noticed a huge increase in throttle response in all gears/rpms.

Looks: Lines up PERFECTLY! I cannot find any flaws. The CF Mufflers are $$$$. This alone is why I chose FI as I don't like the chrome fart can look.

I'll post a video when I get a chance using my Canon 5dmkIV + Rode Stereo Mic. I think that will actually pick up the lower tones that iphones and others just don't.

Totally was worth the wait, and cannot believe I drove with that stupid stock exhaust for nearly three years! For those waiting: You will not be disappointed!!!!!

#1583 finally arriving on 11 May! Enough time to make it on ZDayZ! I've had Z1 Headers waiting for 5 months to add to the F.I. DE RTP's. I was hoping I'd have enough time to get them coated like the headers, but it doesn't look like time was in my favor. Hopefully these prismatic tips were worth the wait.

Freeway driving with FI exhaust is a new experience!

Took 40 minutes round trip Sunday Drive on a very smooth four lane highway yesterday and I must tell u. "The FI system has changed how I drive." There is slight drone at 70 mph in 5th but at 73-74 mph it disappears.

:eekdance:When u hit 6th, it takes off!

The Z feels like I dropped a new engine. Highway driving will never be the same.

The rumble and exceleration r mind blowing.

Did you get no-res, 12" or 18" resonator?

I have my 12" Resonated Carbon Fiber on order. Due in July/Aug.
