I got a CF setup as well and 12" resonators, love it not missing the look of the stainless steel canisters
Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk |
My initial thought was non-resonated with CF mufflers, but I want to be sure before I bite the bullet and place the order.

Out of all the videos I've watched and listened to about this exhaust, I LOVE the way this car sounds. The car has the same mods as my car and he states the exhaust has stainless steel mufflers (which can be seen), but he doesn't say what x pipe he has, resonated or non-resonated. Anyone care to venture a guess?
Be sure to listen to it on something with good speakers. It doesn't sound great on my laptop, but sounds awesome on my desktop PC which has a sub woofer. |
Yup that sweet FI CBE symphony gets me excited every time. Can't wait to get my Z out of winter hibernation.

well the ups man finally came yesterday!!order #1582 is installed! :happydance:non res w cabon fiber mufflers and prismatic tips and non res test pipes! all i can say is wow! i love it!! it's sounds amazing! i had myself thinking it was gonna be crazy loud. don't get me wrong it's loud but it sounds great to me. drone between 2000-2500rpm is loud but if you up rev up to around 3000rpm there really isn't any drone at all. i haven't done any highway driving yet so i can let you know about that later. i would like to thank the whole crew at fast intentions you guys do awesome work! the install was a breeze no cel so worth the wait! i couldn't be happier! fast intentions ftw!

The nice thing with the FI CBE loudness is that it is a quality sounding loudness. It is not overpowering or overbearing. Enjoy.

Finally ordered mine over the weekend. Order number 641!

Congratulations. Just so you know, that is not your exhaust number. You will get that later.

Thanks for the info.

That tax return season, haha!
Hold onto your seats, everyone. You've probably heard that the wait is worth it. Well, from my experience .. I'll be honest .. It is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Is the wait still 6-8 weeks for the exhaust? I've been wanting one so bad since I picked mine up. Might bite the bullet next week. Are you able to send me a price shipped for the exhaust non res with stainless tips shipped to M9B3Z6

I ordered mine this past weekend and here is the reply I received about the wait time:
"As our website states, all of our 370z exhaust systems are hand built to order.* We generally anticipate an average lead time of roughly 8 - 12 weeks, however, lead times may fluctuate greater than 12 weeks based on order volume. * As of late, we've had an increased influx of orders for cat back exhaust systems.* As a courtesy, I wanted to point out that the estimated shipping date on your invoice is*8/7-8/21/2017.* Rest assured, our team is committed to keeping production efficiency* at a maximum level.* The estimated shipping date is a worst case scenario, and your order will likely be completed 12 - 14 weeks." The time to order is NOW! |

Around $1000 if in perfect condition.

December orders are only getting shipped now in April.
If you order now you're also hitting tax return season, when everyone's flush and ready to buy stuff. Expect lag time. I ordered in march (#1661), told 12-14 weeks. Not expecting it till July tbh. |
I ordered 12/20/16 - still waiting. Crossing my fingers that it'll ship soon. The ETA was 3/20 to 4/3 but they're waiting on the prismatic tips.

So UPS dropped off my exhaust today. My car is in the garage, and in the air. I plan on installing tomorrow morning.
For those keeping track of dates: Ordered 12-25 Est Ship Date 3-22 - 4-5 Got a call on 3-27 to let me know it was being billed and was going to ship soon. Shipped 4-3 Received 4-7 http://www.cdmfabrication.com/bbpics...fiexhaust1.jpg http://www.cdmfabrication.com/bbpics...fiexhaust2.jpg I've ordered lots of parts, from performance parts, to body parts, and I can say I was pretty impressed with the way the exhaust was packaged. The mufflers and tips had several layers of bubble wrap, and then card board wrap around the outside of the bubble wrap. Every flange was wrapped and taped in bubble wrapped. It was packaged very well. I'm OCD about things, and I was impressed. I'm convinced they could have handed the package to my local postal carrier and it still would have arrived safely. The parts themselves look really nice however, looks don't mean much until their installed. However I don't expect any problems. FI has made just a few of these.... So my review / feedback of the exhaust will be after the install. |
Congrats OhioYJ!!! I have to say that everything FI does, from customer service, manufacturing, packaging, etc. is first class+++. They are a shinning example of what a great company does, is and stands for. :tiphat: I just wish they had some stickers for us, LOL

What number are we at? 1607 getting close? My wait should be coming to an end soon, i hope!

The factory exhaust took maybe 30 minutes to remove, this part was easy. The EVAP canister cover mentioned in the instructions didn't apply to my 2016, perhaps this is a California thing, or only applies to certain cars? All I know is my car didn't have this stuff in the way. I did have to bend the heat shield though (as per the instructions). The 30 minutes did not includes the cats, those top two bolts were interesting. However it was just a process of figuring out the magic combination of how to get to the top bolts (which was really just running extensions out to the front of the engine bay). The fit of the Fast Intentions exhaust could not have been any better. Everything fit literally like a glove. The tips ended up centered, the hangers are in the center of the rubber bushings, flanges all lined up, nothing fought us at all. Really wasn't any tweaking needed, it just bolted together. I will say it sounds really good, it's loud when you are accelerating, but as soon as you are just cruising it's quiets right down, almost docile, not really a drone to speak of at all (and I don't have the resonators). I drive a lot of highway and it's relatively quiet actually. We'll see how it changes as the mufflers break in. It's exactly what I wanted, as I didn't want to end up with something just barely louder than the stock system. This is definitely louder, but not in an obnoxious way. I did take sound level measurements with my sound level meter of the stock system (not an app, an actual sound level meter). I just need to take measurements of the new system now. |
Ideally at cruising around the neighborhood speeds, it's just a little louder than stock, but when you stomp it, you get the business
thats why i choose FI |

The one of the passenger side you don't need a universal to get on. You just need a crap load of extensions. The more 1/2 extensions you have the better as there will be less flex you will fight. I know I had pretty much every extension I own out, of the drawer. So you will need multiple 10", and multiple 6", and most likely adapters in both directions (1/2 and 3/8). You figure you need enough extensions to get from demon bolt to the all the way to front of the engine bay up near where the hose for power steering reservoir is near the serpentine belt. Then I used a rag up against the frame rail and a large pry bry to keep the ratchet located properly (to prevent it from being pulled over into the intake tube). Then just break it loose. In my case though the bolt broke. Doesn't matter though, it just passes through the header, so even if it breaks you're still home free. On the driver side though you need one universal to get on the bolt square. Same procedure though, just run extensions up to the front of the engine bay. |

My dad said they didn't line up on his 350 either so he also left the bracket off. So just FYI, if it doesn't fit, don't be surprised if you have to leave it off. |
