I'm assuming the TT version would be longer. I'm planning to boost in within couple of years. I can wait but I'm getting bored on the OEM CBE sound. lol

Do the prismatic tips get darker over use? I am concerned somewhat, the original photo/ad of the Z with the CBE and prismatic tips posted looks darker than the pictures Karnak posted. They look more purple, the ones Karnak posted look yellow.

If you are bored with OEM exhaust just go with muffler delete till you decide to boost it then get their full 3" exhaust. I plan on going the same route as you within a year so I just got a muffler delete to make some noise. Sounds damn good tbh. :icon17:

in a ways, it may be better this way for my northern climate as it won't create areas where moisture can acummulate etc

And Tks again for the great Service, items were very nicely wrapped and when I picked em up, they were in a big box with lots of bubbleswrap, but I threw out the box to more easily carry in the car.

Both the Prismatic and our Polished tips are stainless steel, so this has nothing to due with rust or moisture build up.

We cannot install resonators within the Prismatic tips because the coating process would ruin the material inside of the resonator.

Our Polished tips will continue to include resonators while our Prismatic tips are non-resonated as described on our website.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Thanks.

Thank you Kevin!! Also color on the tips from what I understand and was informed will vary due to the prismatic processing. No longer worried thank you so much for the quick and courteous reply

Just pick up the 2.5" CBE and sell it when the time comes (if you need a 3" system) These things go like hot cakes in the classified section.

BboyZ 03-23-2017 12:25 AM

Is it necessary to use the TT version of FI CBE when I go TT on the Z or the 2.5 FI CBE be fine?

I have thought about it, but I think I'll go with full system CBE.

BboyZ 03-23-2017 08:54 PM

AH cool, I'm just waiting for my Refund and will be ordering 2.5 FI CBE.
Thank you for the feedback

When you purchase our twin turbo system, we can build your down pipes in 1 or 2 different connection sizes:

- Full 3" diameter for connection with our 3" TT-TDX twin turbo exhaust.

- 3" diameter tapered down to end in 2.5" for connection with our 2.5" TDX exhaust system.

All options can be found here : 370Z Twin Turbo System

To follow up TerrribleOne's post, our 2.5" diameter exhaust system capable of supporting over 600whp.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks,

- Kevin

I saw on their Instagram CFL with prismatic tips, saying it's going out to a lucky customer today (yesterday)... 1584 shipped and I'm here like dafuq. I was dreaming it was getting Installed and then I see that it wasn't my car.

Edit: I'm not actually serious, but yeah, I hope it comes soon

EDIT:
They just posted a job advert on Instagram for new Welder/Fabricator

Hope they hire someone soon and start spitting out exhausts!

Yes, you might be on my boat soon. Your shipping window might be diffevent. I was the 15th-29th. I'm sure once they knew they were going to miss mine, they told me. What's another couple weeks right?

Just installed the prismatic tips. They look amazing. Very happy with the system. Went with 18" resonators and resonated test pipes and it sounds amazing.

Just want to say thanks to kevin and the team at fast intentions for making this process as easy as it possibly could being a buyer from Sydney, Australia.

Highly recommend

Spartan 1771 03-30-2017 09:19 AM

I’m hoping to order this system by this weekend, but first I have a few questions that I need to get answers to. Hopefully everyone in here can help me out. First let me give everyone a little background on my car. I’m the original owner of a 2009 370z Touring. The car is my garage queen and isn’t my daily driver. It only has 19,000 miles on it. I’m EXTREEMLY picky about this car and the mods that I do to it. Current mods are a Stillen Gen 3 cold air intake, Motordyne M370 upper intake manifold and a set of Berk high-flow cats. After an insane amount of time researching CBEs, I definitely want to go with this system. With all of that being said, I’m having issues determining which X-pipe and mufflers to go with. I want the Z to sound mean and aggressive. I wish there was a way to make it sound like a Mustang GT or Camaro with a Borla Atak system installed, but that isn’t possible without an engine swap to a V8. On the flip side, I don’t want it to sound like a civic with a hole in the muffler or some cheap fart-can exhaust (which won’t be an issue with this system). I’ve listened and watched a billion and one youtube videos, but it’s hard to hear the differences between the three X-pipes watching different videos, shot by different people under different conditions. I welcome a louder cabin driving experience, but don’t want a defining monotonous drone at all RPMs, or the rasp of my 15 year old neighbor’s chop shop built civic crap box. I was originally planning to go with non-resonated, but I don’t want drone or rasp. Will the non-resonated x-pipe produce drone or rasp? Or will a resonated pipe give me the deeper sound I’m looking for? If so, which size, 12 or 18? Remember, aggressive and mean is my goal.

The next few questions are about the mufflers. Will the stainless mufflers produce the deeper sound I’m looking for? Lastly, does anyone happen to have comparison pictures of a pearl white 370z with stainless mufflers and the same color Z with the carbon fiber mufflers? I would really like to compare how they look side-by-side. A google search for this didn’t produce anything that was much of a help.

I’m sorry about all of the questions. I’ve spent the past few days reading hundreds of posts in this and the original thread, but after a while I found it was running me round and round in circles. At this point I figured I would just post my questions and get everyone’s feedback.

Thanks in advance for everyone’s patience and help. I really appreciate both.

Best advice I can give, call Tony or Kevin at Fast Intentions. I'll wager they can answer most all of your questions, with maybe the exception of the pictures.

tweZ74 03-30-2017 10:17 AM

I just ordered mine a couple of weeks ago from Kevin and as I understand it, the bigger cans produce deeper exhaust notes. It's my understanding that the resonators minimize cabin drone at highway cruising speeds.....which is more prevalent if you have a 7AT. I personally went with the resonated HFCs, 18' Carbon Fiber with prismatic tips!

If you want loud, look at FPenvy set up.

I don't think you'd be able to tell a difference between the sound of SS vs CF unless you had them side by side, but supposedly CF is decried as "exotic" and SS as "deeper".

Google has all the pictures you want. With SS cans, you can see them clearly, CF are hardly visible.

OptionZero 03-30-2017 11:48 AM

Never thought about that - the carbon fiber version looks basically invisible. Nice benefit to avoid attention, even if its a small thing

Is there any sort of wrap or coating that can be applied to the CF to protect it from random rock chips and what not?
