Where are the lowest parts of the exhaust? Are the exhaust pipes the lowest parts of the car in some places?
car and exhaust looks good btw!
Excellent question.

The lowest point of the exhaust is exactly under the rear axle where you can only bottom out so much before the suspension hits the stops and all other remaining clearance is determined by the fixed wheel diameter.

If the lowest point of the exhaust is anywhere fore or aft of the rear axle that low point quickly becomes more vulnerable to scraping. There would be a loss of clearance by extrapolating that same low point to other parts of the car while going over a speed bump for example. So that is exactly what we didn't do.

When ground clearance is an important issue, put the lowest point directly under the rear axle and then make it as high as possible. And that's exactly what we did with the Shockwave))).

Well, I dont know about that. First off exhaust systems are expensive people are not just gonna switch out each time a new product comes out LOL. And honestly what makes this exhaust so much better then any of the other leading exhaust on the market now? Motordyne makes some cool stuff but I love my FI and will never give it up.

are there any dynos at all even?? I'd say it's way to early to state anything like that.

Here is the pic I promise. The pipes at the end are the lowest point as you can see I didn't measure properly but from the ground it looks to me that its 4.25 inches from the ground.

Maybe in a few months people will be saying "FI makes some cool stuff but I'll never give up my motordyne." It seems that this exhaust has the same potential to become just as popular as FI.

And I'm sure it will from all the good talk I hear about Motordyne, but to say people will be swapping there old exhaust for this one is just silly unless the thing makes 70hp lol?

I think they are WAY too late in the game to ever gain as much popularity as FI for the 370.

I think a major reason FI is so popular here is because it was basically the first really nice exhaust out and by the time everyone else was coming out with nice products FI had already gained its self a major lead in customers and reputation here on the boards.

Though for myself I may switch over from ARK if this exhaust proves to have better ground clearance, I'm sick of hitting it at least a few times every day.

proper R&D takes time. i'm sure Tony could've released a half-baked product like most exhaust systems available on the market today. Motordyne's customers expect more than that

why has this become a one exhaust is better than than all the others thread....

I agree this looks like a great exhaust and will for sure gain a lot of popularity. But to go and say this will be make everything else obsolete.... with the fanboy crap.

As far as switching there will not be that many imo unless they have had their old exhaust for 3/4 years and it's time for make-over. Exhausts are not cheap and they are not something people just switch everytime a new product hits the market. Plus, from what i read / hear on these forums, most people are happy with the setup they have.

To those that got this/will be getting it looks awesome and congrats on the new setup . It looks very well made and Motordyne customer support seems top notch.
