Is it really worth putting a Cold Air Intake on 370z and what HP gains

For a good laugh, read through whatever thread about radar detectors where he applied his same flawless reasoning. It makes his CAI posts look like peer reviewed white papers.

By all means, read the radar test results, overall results were that they couldn't be trusted reliably, even the high end models.

People that spend a lot of money on gimmicks that really don't work, never really want to admit they've been taken ! with the CAI and Detectors.

I'm not getting into a debate with you. You have repeatedly shown that you are unable to interpret data to form a statistically valid and meaningful conclusion devoid of your personal preexisting bias. You are free to your opinion, whatever it may be.

Marketing Gimmick - a trick or device used to attract business or attention - Webster Dictionary.

These are really just the gimmicks or fads, that the companies selling these devices, hope every new driver or new car buyer will fall for with every vehicle they buy.

To sum all of them up.

After market CAI minimal HP gains vs. cost, 370z already comes stock with good CAI intakes, cons = warranty issues, tuning issues.

Reusable oil type air filters = less filtration than cheap stock paper filter, possible dirt particle transfer during cleaning, MAS damage from excessive oil, high cost.

Radar/laser detectors, jammers = fools toys.

Bottom line is for the potential buyer to do the research on their own and take all advice, either professional, internet, friends with a grain of salt, before making any purchase.

I have always lost lowend with any aftermarket intakes. All my cars, 350zDE, 350Z NISMO HR, 2007 G35DE,2011G37HR.

Now I'm keeping my IPL with stock box! no lost of lowend :-)

Were you using long tube intakes?

Generally speaking, SRI add throttle response, LTI lose low end throttle response.

This horse has been beaten to a pulp!

There's NO need to keep it open.
