Full Stillen Bolt-On Setup - Videos!

my vote is slotted rotors, track-specific pads, and add serious ventilation to front... stock calipers provide plenty of clamping force - that's not the issue IMO

Certainly a solution for the occasional weekender.. and the calipers on the Z are an improvement from previous years, and will hold up to some abuse taken to the track with an improved rotor and high-temp street pads.

These are not track brakes for anyone remotely serious, and will increasingly show their weakness when pushed, especially as the horsepower increase, driver comfort increases, and guys taking things a level further.

Everything is a balance to the level you want to be at, and usually ramps based upon any build, and brakes end up being one of the last modifications, despite having the most impact when truly putting them in the ultimate arena, the track.

Not the right thread or forum for this.. and I apologize.. I have access to some serious brake engineers, the ones designing brake kits, and who have immense knowledge. I'd like to make them available to you guys, and will work on doing just that. Look for some threads soon.. purely so you guys can ask the questions and get some honest info.

It would appear that the performance is finally getting to the point where the stop-factor is getting really important..

Natural progression.. lol

Josh, I look forward to the data and more discussion... you speak the truth about the level of talent, from my brief conversation with one of your guys recently, I can tell that the attention to detail and experience is there... my reservation is that BBKs are a big investment and personally I need to see comparative data... for example, find a 370z equipped with traqmate or other data acquisition and do two full sessions in the same car with two different brake setups... then we can collectively look at the stopping performance, fade characteristics, etc... that's going to be the only definitive measure... as you say, the ultimate arena

Josh, you are welcome to use this thread as a discussion. I think it has run its course. If anything your parts still apply here so feel free.

You definitely have me convinced, its the $ that is getting in the way. I don't care about installation or anything for that matter. I think I'm planning on eventually turning this Z into a dedicated racer. They will be more than justified then, for right now I fall under the once or twice a month weekend racer.
