Full Stillen Bolt-On Setup - Videos!

Thought I'd go out for a cruise and get some clips of what the full Stillen Setup sounds like.

First off - Just revving around, several different angles including under the car and from the sides.

Second - 8 Minutes of in-car WOT and Synchrorevmatching :)

On a sidenote, you will see that even after a good 25 minutes or so of beating on the car in 82 degree humid weather, I was not able to get the temperature over 220 :)

Very nice!

I hear it in yours too (you know what I mean ;)) just not as loud....

RCZ 05-07-2009 11:11 PM

Yup, but you will see when the other video is up that under load you can only hear it at higher RPMs..

LiquidZ 05-08-2009 07:08 AM

That sounds damn nice.

Too bad that rattle is still there.

Nice videos, sounds great.

What type of camera mount did you use?

Assuming you secured the mount on the rear brace aimed between the seats. Yes?

it sounds like your exhaust is still rattling on the crossmember, doesnt sound like rasp to me (especially from the underneath video). also, ill bet the headers will increase the rasp (did on last car). i really hope my stillen SBE and HFC isnt that raspy? sounds even raspier inside (or is it a rattle?) anyways, nice job making the video, although it makes me worry about the rasp even more....

Wrong, Its an industrial strength suction cup mount. I use it for trackdays too with no problems.

You obviously haven't heard what it sounds like when the exhaust is hitting the crossmember... That is not rattle, that is all rasp. When the exhaust is touching, you can barely hear the actual exhaust tone until high RPM's.

I personally love the metallic rasp aspect of the exhaust at high RPM's, makes it sound so mechanical and raw.

I liken the rasp to exposed welds on a race car.

Can you elaborate on your setup? What are you suctioning it to? Got a link or pic of your rig?

Sure

Gripper 3025 - The Filmtools 6" Suction / Vacuum Cup Camera Mount

Works amazing....no movement at all on the track, easy to put on and take off. The only problem you may have is that they may not let you run it with certain clubs. I ran it in PBOC with no problems though and they are about as uptight as it gets..

LOL, RCZ you've replaced the video of the driver in Japan with Amuse exhaust! Too bad that video was pulled.

RCZ 05-08-2009 12:21 PM

What do you mean?

You would have to have seen the video, but it has a Japanese driver in Japan hauling-*** everywhere in a Fairlady Z34.

LiquidZ 05-08-2009 12:25 PM

I can only imagine what this setup will sound like with resonated test pipes.
