Make sure it's either a non 2008 muffler or if it's a 2008 muffler, then the ones that had the tsb done on it. 2008 had rattle issues.

You should also check out the G37 forums for mufflers on sale

Default G37 Sport Muffler

I actually added the G37 Sport Muffler. Don't think there is any HP gain but it sounds great. They bolt directly up to the stock exhaust but the tips have to cut and shortend.

Finally got that 350/G37 sound that our Z's should have from the factory.

Actually, I don't like it. I swapped out my non-resonated midpipe for our stock midpipe with resonators. It is significantly lower in volume. The 370Z resonators suck. Below is a comparison video of a G37 and my 370Z with G37 muffler. I need to find a good aftermarket resonator to open the sound back up. The non-resonated midpipe loudness is great, but I want the smoothness of the G37 sound. Anyone know of any good aftermarket resonators?

Don't know how much difference the Sport Muffler is to the stock G37 muffler but it is what I was looking for. The sound is louder than stock but not as loud as after market CBE. Definitely not cheap........I could have got a full CBE for what I paid for the Sport Muffler from Infiniti.

Oh you didn't get a used stock muffler from someone. Why did you decide to get the sport muffler instead? Would you be able to post up a video?

What about putting the g37 midpipe on it? I'm getting ready to do the same swap.

Definitely Interested on midpipe fitment, as I'm trying to fit an aftermarket z exhaust on my g.

The midpipe is about a foot longer on the G37.

The Sport muffler has a deeper, lounder sound over the stock G37 one. I can hear the difference vs. the stock 370z muffler from inside, even with the windows up. There is no difference at idle but at normal driving and higher RPM's it has a very nice sound.

As I said, it probably doesn't make good economic sense for most because of the cost. I just wanted a better sound for daily driving without changing out the entire exhaust.

I am new to the forum............I will make a video but I made need help getting it uploaded.

I threw away the G37 midpipe cuz I thought the resonators were the same as the 370Z

So instead of buying another G37 midpipe from someone, I'd rather get an aftermarket resonator. It will be easier for the shop to swap it instead of cutting up the G37 midpipe.

Let me know how your swap goes and post up videos please! Thanks

Understandable. If that's the sound you wanted, then it makes sense for YOU. I had a Berk CBE, but I prefer the sound of the G37 so I swapped. I rather get the sound that I want, then the +5 ft-lb of torque.

Just post the video on youtube and provide the link. I don't know how to embed youtube videos.

And if you like higher tone exhausts, I recommend swapping out the resonators for something less restrictive too. The 370Z resonators eliminate so much of the higher notes.

I can relate to that, I purchased a Invidia Gemini and installed it. After a week I took it off and went back to stock because it was too loud around 2 to 3k RPMs.

I could not find a used G37 muffler so I opted for the Infiniti Sport one. It has really worked out for me..........just the sound I wanted. I know I paid too much but what the heck......I probably paid too much for my car as well.

Thanks again for all your help, I appreciate it.

I also want to make sure everyone knows..........you will have to cut the tips on this muffler. They stick out way too far to look acceptable. I will post pics of mine after they were cut and rewelded.

I could not use the 4" tips that come on the muffler....I installed after market ones.
