HFC'S or Test pipes???

I've tried both. You'll get about the same HP/TQ gain from each, the rest is just a preference. Test pipes cost less $ stains on your rear bumper cover more

Test pipes
cost less $
stains on your rear bumper cover
more rasp (although some like this)
louder

HFC's
cost more $
the cores can be destroyed after some time
quieter, less rasp

Default converter revision

I have been hearing more and more about any type of converter breaking up and because of position being sucked back into the motor and causing some of the oil usage problems with the VQ engines from time to time, any thoughts?

I've heard of that happening to late model Sentras because Nissan decided to put a mini-cat on the exhaust manifold, literally inches from the combustion chamber.

I doubt that would be a problem on our cars, cats aren't that close.
