Slight problem after installing G3 intake!

You will. It's not a "problem" per se, it's just standard stuff. Every time you disconnect the battery, a bunch of settings get reset on the car. You'll lose all your radio presets, you'll lose your maintenance mileage monitors on the little display on the left, the clock time will be wrong, etc..

One of the things that gets reset is the "memory" in the window controllers that lets it know exactly where the top of the door edge is. So every time you disconnect the battery cable, you're going to have to reset the window travel. It takes like 30 seconds, it's easy once you know what to do.

And the process that Lou mentioned earlier is the correct way to reset the window controller memory?

I'll be sure to remember this thread.


oh yea.. a friend just got a WS6. 370 or T/A?

Well, it's a lot easier to get a lot more horsepower out of an LSx-based car than a 370, but the 370 is built better, it's lighter, it corners better, it feels better. It's a much better driving machine. But given the same $$ input, the Trans Am will take the 370 in acceleration any day.

Yea I finally got it! It wasn't 3 seconds you gotta hold it, it's atleast 10 seconds. But thanx for the responses and help. Thats why I love this forum!
