Ive had mine for a few months and like any other exhaust I've owned since new the loudness tones down a bit. Give it a month or so.

I personally think that any type of muffler you add would alter the sound. If you want to add mufflers back in, you might as well get a full cbe.

Yeah but Im not a Dyno junky and said I would never spend CBE type $$, For what??? This is not a race car, at least for me.

correct! the short tails simply delete the rear muffler

I'm thinking of getting a set of short tails just in case, for when I go FI, if it quiets things down too much. The Tanabe mid pipe mounting points are are the same as stock. I don't know why I hadn't though of it before. I don't have a clue as to what it'd sound like... Most likely bad arse

Lol, thinking back on what I posted, that would be the ultimate Frankenexhaust if I did it while I'm NA. PPE headers, XYZ Y pipe and Cat, Tanabe mid pipe, and AAM short tails. I would be even more impressed by the fact if everything lines up. I would most likely prefer a 3rd resonator instead of the cat for the hellish rasp that may ensue removing the mufflers. Waking the dead would be an understatement... It would probably resurrect Jesus.
