Ear-shattering. I can tell you that my custom muffler delete had immense drone and gave me a headache with 20 min of highway driving. The sound was awesome, but it's so loud you think your ears will bleed at about 4-5.5k rpm. With HFCs, it would be even louder.

Not trying to criticize the AAM axle-back delete, but buyers need to know what they're in for. I'd recommend this for the guys who drive their car on occasion and want to turn some heads. It would also be cool for the track, but you'd need ear plugs with your helmet. This setup would also be perfect for a roadster as you wouldn't have any of the drone...just the incredible sound. What you can't appreciate in any of the videos is the over-run burble. It's downright sexy.

That being said, I absolutely miss the sound this setup has. If there was a solenoid option to switch between muffled and muffler-bypass, I'd buy it without a second thought. I don't care if it would add 50lbs to the car, it would be friggin' awesome.

This is essentially what you're getting:

Shoot, I figured it would be loud since ran the car without mufflers (albeit with stock cats) and it wasn't too bad. Thanks for the insight, the drone would kill it with my highway driving.

It would be nice to see mufflers in the axle back exhaust but that might make it too similar to the full cat-back system.

Yeah, bad drone. There was a little below 2k rpm that didn't bother me. The problem was from 4k-5.5k rpm. It's so loud that all the interior panels rattle and your head is about to explode. I'd routinely have headaches after driving for 15-20 minutes home from work. It was more manageable with the windows open and again, sounds downright outrageously awesome...but I want to hear my grandchildren's voices in 40 years.

Thanks for the feedback.. Sounds tempting, but as you said after 15-20 minutes getting a headache doesn't sound pleasing. Hmmm

Nissan needs to get with GM on that, then, lol.

I ran a a pre-axle dump on my GT and it was rediculous. Would not do it again. That even had mufflers. Sounded great, but like you said, it hurt.
