difference between dual and single pipe exhaust

if this answer has already been posted then repost the link to the thread.....BUT..... What is the difference from a sound/power/engineering/performance/etc between the aftermarket exhausts for our cars tht are

Default difference between dual and single pipe exhaust

if this answer has already been posted then repost the link to the thread.....BUT.....

What is the difference from a sound/power/engineering/performance/etc between the aftermarket exhausts for our cars tht are dual like the stock design vs the single pipes back to the dual/single mufflers
