Haha, you beat me to this. I was going to eventually tackle gutting the stock muffler until I achieved the same sound as the washer mod. Gutted the stock muffler on the Evo, and that actually produced 5-10 WHP!
![]() There will be a bit of turbulence, but exhaust flow takes the path of least resistance, so it really won't matter much to overall flow.
