Default Nismo Exhaust Resonators Removed

Was at the exhaust shop the other day installing some new gaskets and while the car was up on the lift I asked the guys to remove the 12 inch resonators and replace with 2.5 inch pipe. Im getting an F.I. exhaust very soon #162... but am so tired of how quite the nismo was and thought that getting rid of the resonators would only help. It made a bigger difference than i really thought it would. Ive always liked the clean tone of the nismo but this just opened it up more. Let me know what you guys think. thanks.

Now that you removed the resonators to make it louder, it will affect the price if you decide to sell them in the future. The wait is well worth it Trust me....

Its cool to experiment. Nice.

I am fitting up 'another' set of test pipes shortly, and before adding in my X pipe kit, I am cutting up my spare rear section to remove the resonators, I want to see if it cancels the inevitible rasp from the TP's up front.....

On the experiment theme, eventually my project will consist of , some brand TP's magnaflow X pipe 2.5 kit mated to stock muffler which will be peeled open and straight pipe connected inside, then welded back up.

OP - if you let that NISMO tube go PM me, I am on look out for more parts to play with.

Cheers
K

I did the same a few weeks ago with my Nismo exhaust. Makes a world of a difference in terms of sound IMO

Has anyone else done this? Did you approve or disapprove of the outcome?
