Amuse Exhausts - New Nismo Versions

Amuse just released their Extra STTI and RS-Silent STTI models for the Nismo 370z dual system. These will bolt up directly with the Nismo dual outlet midpipe. There are 2

Default Amuse Exhausts - New Nismo Versions

Amuse just released their Extra STTI and RS-Silent STTI models for the Nismo 370z dual system. These will bolt up directly with the Nismo dual outlet midpipe.

There are 2 tip designs to choose from as you'll see from the pictures. The "Extra" picture is an example of a single wall tip, while the "RS-Silent" picture is an example of the new dual wall tip. The tips are also 5mm larger than the previous models (120mm)

Another option that Amuse has always offered is a choice of tip burn styles. See the picture below for the different versions.
A Tail = Just the edge burned
B Tail = The full tip burned
C Tail = No burn; just the polished ti tip (not shown in the picture)

no, regular 370Z uses a y-pipe, not an h-pipe. these nismo versions are meant to support the h-pipe. in fact, that's the only difference between the nismo and regular amuse exhausts. the flanges that mate to the midpipe are different.

but you gotta pay for the extra metal

they do have the regular 370Z versions available as well - R1 Extra, R1 Silent, R1000, and the R1 Progress.

Nope. You will need to buy the ones made for the non-Nismo Z. The pipes after the cats are different. The non-Nismo Z has a "Y" pipe (hence one pipe collector) the Nismo ones have a "H" pipe with two pipes coming out from the cats all the way till the muffler.

If you wanted these...then you would have to get a different front pipe that feeds into the mid pipes. Would not really be economically worth it at that point though IMO.

The non-Nismo versions are still cool.

Question...

Why is it always shown on the cans that go = when they are burnt Ti, one side is always 'burned' more than the other? Is there some serious reason to it, or is it just how that particular metal reacted...

I would think with the whole dual concept symmetry would be exercised here as well... Or am I just overthinking this? Its just always made me

You know, I've noticed this too and always wondered the same thing, why is one side burned more than the other. I just figured it was part of the allure.

It's just about styling; nothing's restricting them from doing an even burn on each side.
I personally like the way it is right now, it's not "overly" symmetrical

Also, I just added to the above post, the y-pipe Amuse designed for the Nismo 370z.

NOTE: Look @ the after dyno graph (fuzzy as it is). Had a really weird blip at the end of the dyno run. The exhaust...wasn't tapering off yet.... Also, not sure what the effect is, but I did modify the secondary piping from standard Amuse layout (see post below).

Still, conservative, we'll call +15hp, +8tq, per weather corrected numbers. In case you wanted to know, this was done on a Mustang dyno.


again, keep in mind i customized my exhaust to increase the sizing of the secondary pipes to support my future pipe dream of supercharging the VQ37...

i might also get some improvements with the new y-pipe that came in but i won't get to see until i get home in two weeks...
