I've found that exhaust loudness needs to be proportional to car speed/acceleration. For example, when some guy puts a fart-can muffler on his '92 Accord, it just doesn't sound right.

I've found that exhaust loudness needs to be proportional to car speed/acceleration. For example, when some guy puts a fart-can muffler on his '92 Accord, it just doesn't sound right. I felt the same way when I did the muffler delete on my 370Z a while back. It sounded super mean, but it didn't match the car. If your exhaust sounds like a racecar but you accelerate like a lawnmower, then you have the wrong exhaust.
