I'm curios how the remote works. The video looks like the guy has an infrared controller like you'd use for a TV. Either that or low power radio device. Neither

The video looks like the guy has an infrared controller like you'd use for a TV. Either that or low power radio device. Neither one will work well through metal, so how would you control it while driving?
