ERZ Performance High Flow Cats, Install and Review Thread

I took a look at mine last night (deep sigh...been waiting to get them installed. Finally going on this Saturday) and it looks like they were grinded down a bit

I took a look at mine last night (deep sigh...been waiting to get them installed. Finally going on this Saturday) and it looks like they were grinded down a bit to ensure a flush connection at the flange ( So quality control was done on mine ).

Quality looked good on mine as well. The guys at Import Performance Specialist who installed the HFC commented on how well they grinded the inside of the pipes. I drive a lot and have already put 750 miles on these HFC in two weeks. No CEL and no leaks!

On a side note I got the new NT05 Tires mounted right after the HFC. These tires grip like no other. Makes for some really fun driving. At high speeds and cornering the NT05’s really shine. I thought the Bridgestone Potenza were a bit twitchy at high speeds not very confidence inspiring.

I spoke with Tommie @ ERZ Performance today and he assured me that the bend is intentional. He told me that each cat they make goes through a quality control process where the cat must fit into a master jig which replicates an actual install. If it fails that..it gets scrapped.

He was really friendly and knowledgeable.

I can tell a fair amount of detail was paid to mine…all the burs and welding anomalies have been filled off.

Mine are definitly going on this Saturday. I will update my thread with the videos

I recall being very impressed when I looked mine over before install. I'm pretty picky, so even though I can't recall details, they must have passed mental QC eval.

ERZ is great on the telephone. Don't be put off by some of the short, grammatically incorrect replies they post on here. These guys know what they're talking about and are very straightforward if you have questions or issues.
