You need to make sure they will fit in that space, but I really don't see why people are afraid of the oiled filters. I could see some concern about oil possibly hitting the MAF sensor, but the G3s place the filters so far down range that I don't think that should be a worry at all.
Plus, the system is designed and tuned to work with those filters. They aren't hard to maintain, either. It's easy to oil and clean them.
