$345 ouch... waiting on pics though...

Here are some pictures of the optional coating. It is designed to withstand 1200 degrees Fahrenheit. It is great for supercharged applications. It is very effective at keeping EGT,s (Exhaust Gas Temperatures) down. In addition it will keep your engine compartment cooler.

I will never go Forced induction so it is kinda wasted money

Bling bling

vipor 04-29-2010 08:03 PM

Damn those roads look so nice to drive on.... The roads here have constant bumps.

+1 Sam, sounds nice WOT

F.I. Inc. 04-29-2010 08:15 PM

Sam,

You do not waste anytime my friend. You had to of received these yesterday at the earliest! The car sounds great and I am glad to see you are enjoying the headers.

There is one thing I need everyone to keep in mind when looking at this video. G37Sam has our first design X Pipe which is the Magnaflow resonated muffler. This X Pipe has never been available from us for the 370Z and is starting to be phased out of our the G37 system. The benefit of going with our new style X Pipe which is the X Pipe we use STANDARD on the 370Z is this:

1) It is lighter
2) It produces more torque and power
3) It has less interior noise (drone) and produces a smoother exhaust note

Bottom line, if you are a 370Z owner it will sound similar to this but not identical!

Aside of that, enjoy the video and do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions...

Thank you, Tony

G37Sam 04-29-2010 08:18 PM

If I were to compare this to my Res Test Pipes, I'd say the TPs are definitely deeper, the headers are higher pitched at WOT, but hiss a lot under 3k rpms and as the rev's go down. The headers are loud and smell meaner though, I almost passed out when I was trying to mount that camera above the exhaust tips haha

semtex 04-29-2010 08:19 PM

What size resonators does Sam have on his CBE?

cotizi 04-29-2010 08:21 PM

tony, any list updates? i want mine.

The old x-pipe didn't have built in resonators, but rather a magnaflow casing that acted as one

Ahhh...now I understand. Thx for the clarification, Sam!

The X itself is inside of this muffler. Back in the day this is what we used. As we have come further in the game, we have modified how things are done. Do not get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with this X Pipe. However, from a performance standpoint, we have newer and less restrictive options...

Tony

Knives 04-29-2010 09:19 PM

Sounds awesome.

And God damn do those roads look great to drive on. Plus there was nobody on them. Looked like you had your own personal road course.

Tony...these guys were following the tracking number every 5 mins..as soon as the cargo plane touched the dubai runway they were off to the port, and from there straight to the installer...they might have wasted20 min or so in the traffic nothing else..

Nice work man...need to hear it in person now :)

shumby 04-30-2010 03:29 AM

Tony can i buy just the X-pipe from you? I want to replace my first gen one.

Yes you may! I am sending out a new one along with a set of headers for SubSurface today.

Call me when you are ready...

Thanks, Tony

NewYorkJon34 04-30-2010 02:00 PM

Hey Tony, it's been awhile Im glad to see the headers finally came out & they look/sound great. The HFCs sound good, but I really don't want that higher pitch sound, rather have a deeper rumble which it seems to provide. I plan on going with the Stillen S/C & just wanna make sure adding the LTHs will make it a ftw combo...?

Vegitto-kun 04-30-2010 05:46 PM

Tony can we get a update on the LTH

it has been a while

NewYorkJon34 05-02-2010 01:21 PM

Would the regular LTH headers be fine if I plan on supercharging my car, or are the coated headers a must?

semtex 05-02-2010 02:04 PM

You would benefit from coating if you plan on supercharging. It's not a must, but you'd definitely benefit.

NewYorkJon34 05-02-2010 02:08 PM

Dang, cus I can get a deal on the normal LT headers right now, but I do plan on supercharging in the future. I don't know what to do now, how long is the wait for Coated headers?

NYBladeZ 05-02-2010 02:17 PM

you can probably get them coated later its not as if they are going to break down. Just consider it an added expense when you go S/C.

NewYorkJon34 05-02-2010 02:30 PM

This is prob a good time for Tony to chime in, lol I guess I'll just have to get the coated LTHs, besides lower temps, what are some other benefits?

Vegitto-kun 05-02-2010 02:39 PM

They are extremely pretty?

STi 5 05-02-2010 03:01 PM

Now THAT is what an exhaust vid should be. Good work Sam!

NewYorkJon34 05-02-2010 03:04 PM

Ya, but as long as they provide better perfromance & work with the supercharger, I don't care how they look, hell their under the car, I'll barely ever see them, lol

NewYorkJon34 05-02-2010 03:54 PM

Will the G37 F.I Lth's fit on a 370Z?

Yes, it is the exact same header.

Tony

Daishi 05-02-2010 06:58 PM

just wanted to let you guys know this install isnt for the faint of heart lol. On a side note the passenger side header is on just taking a while to get to the bolts on the drivers side.

NYBladeZ 05-03-2010 09:25 PM

any shipping updates #14 is getting impatient!

vipor 05-03-2010 09:27 PM

simma!

NYBladeZ 05-03-2010 09:30 PM

ordering an oil cooler next week in time for my 2nd oil change figure I'd crawl under and do the whole thing over the course of a few days. That and MY FIRST YEAR OF LAW SCHOOL IS ALMOST OVER! So it time to light em up safely of course and the headers would help ;-)

LateralG'z 05-03-2010 09:48 PM

post exhaust clips and dyno's please

NYBladeZ 05-03-2010 09:58 PM

^^search button is your friend, semtex has all that info in his thread.
