I could, I just have extreme patience, also my friend who does most all my installs really really wants to do a header install on the Z as he primarily has only ever done Mustangs. He is curios how much easier or harder it will be.

No, nothing like that. To the east coast I am charging $70 for UPS ground.

I'm sure half of that is to cover the packing materials. I know I had to call in some archeologists to unwrap my CBE it was so mummified... :icon18:

Red = Next Day Air ~11am ($181.11)
Red Saver = Next Day Air ~3pm ($174.10)

Estimated with 30lbs and a 40x12x10" box with a $1000 value.

You save a little bit with Saver Dreamer :stirthepot:

I figured with 21lb headers 30 was a safe bet. Just estimated the dimensions based off of pictures.

Here is a question for all of the local Dallas people... What's the plan on passing TX inspection with the FI LTH installed? Will you have to rip these out and put HFC back on every year for the inspection?

I will just put the stock headers back on. no way in hell would I pass with the LTH

cotizi 04-23-2010 08:21 AM

You should be fine as long as you dont throw a check engine light. I'm unaware of anywhere in texas where they do tailpipe emissions testing on newer vehicles, but i think its on a county by county basis. I plan to try with the LTH (and pick a good place to do it at), and if I ABSOLULTELY have to im keeping my stock cats and headers just in case.

edit: the car is going to noticebly smell like fuel regardless, so whoever is doing the inspection should prob not be an *******!

theDreamer 04-23-2010 08:39 AM

Yep, it is county by count, but Texas usually just does a OBD-II check (plug and check for codes) and then basic visual inspection (headlights, taillights, etc.).

Here they completely check the car.

measuring CO2 and checking the normal rate.

putting it on a lift and look around underneath it. which will end up them going lulwhut? at the LTH

Visual inspection here is suppose to require the car to be lifted, but many to most shops do not do it so the only time they look under a car is if they have room.

vipor 04-23-2010 09:26 AM

If I get failed I know at least 1 person in the 3 major counties I deal with that can pass my car

Daishi 04-23-2010 09:27 AM

I have access to NJ inspection stickers so I dont have that problem *cough* lol

And yours looks and sounds awesome!

I'm guessing the coating is primarily for those looking to go SC and won't have exhaust manifolds made for the turbos?
