Driver side?
|
Yep. I was working on it at a local friend's shop. I decided to call it a day after 3-4 hours of banging fingers, cutting forearms, and breaking 2 Snap-On ratchets and a swivel extender.
It took me about 3 hours just to get both headers off. Putting them back on took 30 minutes LOL. I just need to tighten everything down tomorrow. It's also taking me long because I'm installing my CAI and Setrab cooler at the same time, otherwise I would've been done. Side note to everyone if you want to retain all your stock header hardware- instead of taking off the driver's side manifold shield from the beginning (per the instructions), just remove the bolts and leave it there. Once you disconnect the steering joint, it will fit in that area but you still wont be able to completely remove it without bending stuff. You can remove it unscathed after the driver's side header is removed. |
Awesome... Can't wait to see the final results! Congrats....

i did wonder why nissan painted the tranny bolts orange,
|
Quote:
1) Supposedly it's colored from the assembly line as a reminder of which bolts need to be torqued 2) It's an indicator of whether a bolt has been tampered or not for warranty reasons. |
|
nice! mine ship tomorrow, so i think I'm gonna jack the car up this week and try and get the stock ones off before they arrive. looks like that's definitely the most time consuming part, yes?

I hope tony has some sort of magic helping force because its a shame I wont get it before the 9th of next month since I wil be taking part in a "race" setup by my dealer between GT-Rs,370s,lambos,ferraris and so on.
It will be delicious also it will be in francorchamps |

It seems a lot of the bolts are color matched, I have found orange, blue, yellow, I think red at one point. |

Garage on stands, put some blankets over fenders and front, if you crack that bolt of the extension gives you quite a jolt, dont want to slam your paint work, I was within a nano meter of this ;-0
|
yeah im definately taking my time and having a buddy help me. I'm installing suspension this week as well so im planning on the car being on stands from tonight thru the weekend. I find if I spend a few hours on something and its not going my way, its better to walk away and try again tomorrow. Thankfully the z isnt my daily driver.

tony could you kindly give a update

not a family guy fan but the best way I can sum up my feelings is to say, "gigity gigity!":yum:
|
INSTALLED! Tony, these LTH are sick!! They sound crazy & I def. feel more power. Idk if its because my cat's are deleted now but I def feel the extra push. (I had stock cats + FI TDX CBE + Stillen CAI before installing the LTH) Once again, excellent job on another F.I piece. & BTW, those o2 sensors are crazy how it extends lol..
|
You know I have been wondering. you have to make the O2 sensors longer right?
How? |
Any more before and after dyno's ?
Im so mad that I gave up my spot... ! |
:happydance:
|
after haveing my car dynoed. and only gettig 275 rwhp i am not impressed with these.
