That Nissan part is really rubbish. Mine broke in the same way too. They are way too flimsy.

The Z1 hoses are for aftermarket intakes. To get them to work. He would have to use a barbed double ended hose fitting. Think that would be his best fix tho.

Thanks for yall's help. I went ahead and did the pcv elbow from autozone, no issues so far.
