Default Injen intakes vs Rain

These injen intakes are gonna be the death of me man... I can not for the life of me drive my Z when it's raining. I've done countless research and seems like my last resort is to upgrade to stillen g3...

Has anyone came up with any recent solutions? I heard hydroshield is complete ***, so don't bother recommending that unless the company has actually put effort in their product and is working.

What's the problem, getting wet?

i have Injen too and haven't had a problem with them at all other than the airflow is a bit more turbulent than the Stillen setup so it is louder, but that's not the kind of issue you're talking about.

Gets too wet to the point my car jumps, stalls, and eventually will turn off. On 7AT as well. If I go over ANY puddle, CEL will turn on and the car will slow down and won't run.

Is there space to use the AEM bypass valves?

Do you have some pics of the intake installed on your car? There doesn't seem to be any other members reporting this problem with the Injen setup.

I attached two pictures. They were from my phone but I don't have any of the filters

anyone else having rain issues with injen cold air?

Seems like one member made up a workaround, but it seems like a switch to a Stillen or Maf hoses/drop-ins will be your only guarantee.

MAF hoses would fix the issue you think?

Yes, going back to the stock airboxes with maf hoses and drop-ins would solve this.

He said mad hoses/drop ins meaning going back to oem boxes and changing to the silicone intake hoses behind it. So yes will definitely fix your issue since it is basically OEM.

Wow I've got nothing like that at all, and I even took the cover off the fang vents and removed the vertical pieces that block that compartment off around the crash foam.

I assume you have all the underside pans on? Can't think of anything else that would cause that. Water is seriously getting in there somewhere.

I had the Stillen on at one point too. It switched back to Injen..
