Default SES P0100 MAF Sensor Problem

I've searched, found, and read several threads regarding SES issues, as well as threads dealing with MAF sensor issues, but did not find one that directly related to the code I'm getting, so I'm looking to the group for help.

A buddy and I pulled my plugs yesterday and gapped them, per my tuner's suggestion. We got everything buttoned up and the car runs fine (no rough idle, no detectable misfires, etc.), but I keep getting the SES light, which I've never had in the 7 months that I've owned my Z. Not even temporarily when I installed Z1 post-MAF tubes several months ago. We checked the code, which is P0100, and cleared it several times, but it returns upon start up - P0100 Nissan Mass Air Flow Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Error OBDII Engine Light Trouble Code | Engine-Codes.com

So far, I've done the following:
  • Checked for leaks between the air boxes and the TBs and found none
  • Checked to ensure proper seating of the MAF sensor clip-in connectors
  • Ensured that power is reaching the MAF sensors
  • Cleaned both MAF sensors

When we pulled the upper plenum, we unhooked quite a few hoses and connectors, but we double-checked and everything was reconnected tightly. I'm stumped. Because this code is directly attributed to the MAF sensors, I presume that changing the gap on the plugs is not related to the issue.

All that noted, if anyone has any thoughts, suggestions, and/or feedback, they will certainly be welcomed. Thanks!
