Default FI resonated test pipes or ART's

Getting ready to pull the cats and have come to a cross road. I can use some opinions on either the FI resonated test pipes or the ART's. Any input at all is appreciated. What type of HP and torque gains also the change in sound.

I like ART pipes. Good quality, decent gains.

Here's my dyno: Stillen G3, FI 18" CF catback vs Stillen G3, FI 18" CF catback and ART pipes. Dyno was done the same day and an hour apart.

Have any idea on your gains as far as RWH and torque. I'm trying to find some numbers on both. Looks like the FI gains about 6 rwh and 6lbs of torque, what's bothering me is reading about hiss. I've read four pages on the ART's and have yet to find any factual numbers, I know this is because I can't search worth a sh!t.

Ok, so I just listened to some YT clips of the FI exhaust with the FI resonated test pipes and there is definitely a hiss. I didn't hear it on the ART clips. So how bad is that hiss in person and am I just not hearing it on the ART's or is it that it just doesn't hiss?

So from the dyno numbers it looks to be the same in performance gains. I think I'm going to spend the few extra $$$ to loose the hiss.

Please elaborate, I really like the FI's but that hiss on deceleration is a little much, no? I want max gains and the added volume does not bother me, actually I welcome it. Also what version of ART's did you have.

Quality is a issue with the motordyne art pipes. U still get the hiss and they do start to rust over time. I can't speek for the 370Z guys but I have had 2 versions and one side does hang lower. Just not worth it..

I have had ART pipes and FI RHFC.

The ART pipes are obviously louder and I had a drone issue, but it was mostly in town driving in auto mode. The sound was very raw. Not obnoxious, but noticeably louder and meaner. The pipes themselves are a work of art and fit up was perfect. One advantage is the ART pipes use the oem style ring gasket. I have a Borla cat back and it does not have resonators, so I found the combo too loud. The ART pipes also have mounting points to reconnect to the stock bracing system.

You can't really compare cat pipes to test pipes, but I ended up replacing my ART pipes with FI RHFC. The cat pipes are much quieter. Still a noticeable change from stock cats. The FI pipes were a perfect fit up too, but use a flat gasket for the header to cat connection. I went with Z1 metal gasket, so that adds $50. The FI pipes do not use the stock bracing system.

I haven't had a CEL from either set. My butt dyno would say that ART pipes had a little more power, but that may have been swayed by the volume of the exhaust. Both sets have hiss on decel, the ART pipes were much more noticeable, but I like it.

I have some before and after video posted in the exhaust forum. LINK TO THREAD

I will most likely be posting the ART pipes for sell soon, but need some more time with the other set before I make a final decision. ART pipes have 3500 miles on them, no issues, no scrape, no dings. If so, I'll take $450 plus shipping for them.

This was my dyno test. Before was only with stillen gen 3. After was with the FI RHFC.

100% stock baseline was 254hp/219tq. 7at btw.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFkPdfDZVRQ... I was bother about the hissing on the videos on youtube... but from what I've read most hfc and tp will make the hissing more pronounced... apparently most aftermarket cbe will cause it... but I got use to it after the install... only does it at low rpm deceleration... the benefits (power and sound) outweighs the negative hissing... i'll post my dyno once I get it tuned... I don't have stock dyno's to compare it with...
