Hey, I don't know where you're getting these springs but have you checked out this place? Compression Springs - Custom Springs | Lee Spring

They have a spring on there that matches the stock one very closely (p/n LHC 177N 03M) as well as various others that would fit at reduced spring rates.

I'm still interested if you have any of yours left. The leespring place is kind of pricey for very small orders

Default Clutch Spring Pedal Play Problem Solved!!!

Two things, the new spring works like a charm and I found a way to take the play out!
If you look at the top bump stop for the clutch pedal assembly, you will see a bracket above where the white bump stop rests, housed in this bracket is a black square module with a black pin sticking out of it. In front of that black square module is a lock nut (see attached pic). I used a 14mm open head wrench (not an exact fit, but it worked) to loosen, once this is done, you can turn the black square module to protrude further down in the bracket. Once this is done tighten the nut back up, no more play. I will say that this is a royal pain in the @$$, not much room at all.

1. Find the top bump stop bracket, loosen the nut in front of the black square module.

2. Disconnect attached wire to prevent the wire from "bunching".

3. Turn black square module, (I believe clockwise) it took me 2 full turns to get the play out.

3. Depress clutch pedal and reset against bump stop to ensure play is gone.

4. Repeat step 2 if necessary.

5. Tighten nut.

6. Take her for a spin and enjoy!

Please see pic of bracket assembly, this will get you on your way.

V.

I just ordered one from Fastenal (p/n 0166722). It's the right size and the spring rate is about 25% of stock for anyone who missed out on the buy

I'll post some pics when it arrives. The critical dimensions all match up though. The stock spring is about 230-250 lbs/in so the new 55 lbs/in spring should be similar to running without it.

Hope this spring from fastenal works out! I have a connection at a local fastenal for me. I'll get him to look into prices for various quantities!

Actually, I'm looking at this again and I think the ID on the fastenal spring might be a little too tight where the hat and lower piston part sit inside.

I ordered 4 springs from Century Spring that are definitely the right size though so I'll have extras around. I should have just done that from the start but I didn't want to have to get more than one as Century has a minimum order size...
