Correct. You would have the license and then only have to pay your tuner and dyno time.

DUDE, make sure the shop you take it too is reputable and knows they not working on a civic, that price seems unreal. A supercharger install in Ontario Canada is $2500 tuned. A tune alone is $500 for god sake LOL!

The 600 doesnt include any tunning at all. Just the removal of his kit and the install of my oem on his. Tunning is in albuquerque they said 300 tune, 600 dyno.

How much is the stillen tune and can i do that myself? Can i just buy the tune from uprev and do it myself and tune it without a dyno? Maybe someone here can tell me what their kit is tuned at and i can replicate it

That's not how this works. Even if you receive the tune from Stillen, that's an overly safe base map. No one else will give you a map for a boosted car. That will not work. For maximum engine longevity, you MUST take the car to a professional who will tune it on the dyno. This is not the part of this build where you can be cheap. Buy the Uprev license and take the car to a competent professional tuner.

Lol i thought it was cheap too but i know him for 10 years hes done all my work on turbo vws. He installed a big turbo kit w ecu, injectors, fuel pump, manifold, etc for 400 2 years ago.

So i can download uprev myself And any dyno tuner locally can tweak it doesnt have to be uprev certiffied?

If you buy the full version you can hand him your laptop and let him tune it. I wouldn't recommend that. You should take it to someone who has dealt with forced induction on 370s before. Give Uprev a call. They're in Austin.

Taking it to Joe Tuner or your VW guy will likely end up with a new thread titled "Any place to buy a short block super cheap?". You need to do this right. Being cheap will only cause heartache. If paying a good experienced Uprev tuner is too much of a burden, then don't boost the car. Do it right or not at all.

You seem concerned about the money, doing it right will cost far less than doing it wrong and having to replace the engine!

This guy knows what hes doing lol its not like a supercharger is rocket science. Plus with the install manual and already bolted into a car couldnt be too hard to see where things go where...he doesnt tune. Hes built my vws my gti from 180hp to 580whp this year. Sure hes been around vws all his life but a supercharger isnt that hard to do its bolt on. Im just trying to do this right with possibly not having to tow the car 4hrs away.
Thats why the best thing would have been to just swap ecus (if it worked). I get the tune that came with his kit.

Do u guys with the kit change the clutch out? Doesnt seem like the stillen makes that much more hp from what ive read 420+?

He wanted to buy an Amuse get for under 1,000 (replica), going cheap on boost with the 370z is a costly mistake as we have seen before.
Either pony up to do it right or end up doing it twice for 3 times as much.

Now I am not saying you cannot cut cost on certain things, maybe DIY install or find a reasonable shop do the install. When it comes to items such as the tune, pay some who knows the 370z AND Uprev software, or else you will end up with a blown motor and really feel the money pitfall.

370z Forced Induction for Noobs...

You need to go read through this thread.
No one is saying installing a SC is technically difficult, many have done it in their own garages, but you sound like you are trying to cut corners and find the "cheap" route to boost on this car. That does not end well, and will end up costing you more in the future unless you invest a little up front.
