E85 is not considered "pump gas" in the whole "power on pump gas" debate. You could definitely argue that its available at many pumps... but its sort of an apples to oranges comparison due its ability to ward off knock/detonation.
It allows you to run a little more boost and an ideal timing curve without nearly as much concern of running into knock. E85 itself isnt a power adder for the most part (minus some small gains from dynamic compression - taking up more space in the combustion chamber), but it definitely lets you see more of what your existing power adders can do! |
