Default Anyone take their boosted Z it a Nissan dealer?

Monday I had my CSF triple pass radiator installed but unfortunately my AC compressor isn't coming on now. It spent yesterday at the shop and they can not figure out why. It spent today at one of the best AC shops in town and I guess Nissan has it locked down to where only their computers can tell whats wrong. So I take it to Nissan and the service department watched me pull in, as soon as I get to the counter a salesman asked " what did you do to that poor car?" I answered with " made it fast like Nissan should have done from the start!" and he walked away. The service lady starts asking about the mods before I told her what the problem was and was acting freaked out about it. After we talk a bit she says "I don't know if we can work on that, lets go talk to one of my GTR techs" and we walked to the garage. He asked to see the car and after looking at it he said " I can work on it but it might be a little extra labor" and I said fine. Anyone else had an experience like that? It just seem odd since a lot of dealer sell the Stillen kits.

Run. Run. Run now and far away. Before you pay more to fix it at Nissan then your whole FI kit and labor.

this is gonna sound funny but take it to pep boys and see if they can figure it out, they have a proprietary reader package from snap-on that can do the crazy little things you need consult for, like the steering angle reset. They may be able to do it for you, they may not but it worth a shot before you pay $600 for the dealer to do it.

Thank you! I will give that a shot, I had know idea they had equipment like that. It can't hurt to try before the Nissan bleeding.

If it was working before you put in the radiator, and stopped immediately after putting in the radiator, its got to be something simple and related to the work just done on the car!

I'm sure it does, they tried telling me it didn't have anything to do with them. I walked out and told them we will talk when I know what it is. The owner of the shop called me this morning and was very nice and concerned. I just want to know what it is and get it fixed then I'll worry about who is paying the bill.

Has anyone made sure everything is plugged back in, and that the system was recharged?

They spend all day trying to figure out what was wrong and I took it myself to get it recharged. It has spent two days at two different shops and no one can figure it out.

Make sure the pressure sensor is plugged in (located on passenger side of AC condensor, on top of the "liquid tank").

Make sure the ambient sensor is plugged in (located in front of radiator, right in the middle).

I would still take a look personally, chances are they just didnt plug something in. All you have to do is pop the hood and look right at them. They are both right in the area of the radiator and were messed with during the radiator install.

I'm sorry maybe I didn't explain that right, I have looked and they are plugged in. What I meant was the AC shop confirmed they are working on their computer. I have looked and looked with both shops and in our warehouse. I don't see anything. I will look again tomorrow.

My bet is that the ambient sensor in front of the radiator is not plugged in. I would doubt that most shops would think to check that.

I just checked in my car by unplugging it, and it definitely shuts off the compressor when unplugged, even though the AC control light is on as if the compressor was.

A way to check this without even popping the hood is to turn your key on and see if the multigauge displays the outside temperature or if it says "---". No reading = not plugged in.

After you pass that test I will shut up about everything being plugged in

Please don't shut up, I was looking for advise. I will check that tomorrow and report back. I'm next to positive that was on the display when I picked the car up from the AC shop but I'll check again, thats way easier than the Nissan bill!
