What I was saying is that if you are going to switch from your E85 tune to your 91, or from your 91 to your E85, you dont have to go into the tank and wipe every last drop out with paper towels, you are safe to make the switch of fuel and tune if there is still a half gallon of the other fuel in there. ALTHOUGH personally for the first tank after that switch, I would not beat on the car quite as bad. I just feel better about letting it work out the diluted content of previous fuel for one full tank first... and this is part of the reason I wouldnt go switching back and forth all the time.

But if you are on E, and you put some 91 in there, and drive on your E85 tune... that would be not recommended. You would want to switch to your 91 tune... then drive it down to E again, and then switch back to E85 and E85 tune. You dont want to run the wrong fuel for your tune. The car WILL RUN, and it will move and drive around low load part throttle with the wrong fuel... but it would be highly non-recommended and could cause engine damage if you gave it any more than very very little throttle.

Hey AAM, so freaking awesome you are joining forces with Torqen UK to release a RHD version later this year!

WANT WANT WANT :icon18:
CAN---NOT--WAIT :excited:

V1H 06-23-2015 08:46 AM

As I've come to hear AAM commenced the build of the first two RHD kits - one for a 350Z HR and the other for my 370Z. Very exciting days!

Keep up the great work AAM

Just a thought on the widely varying hp figures.
Why not post corrected hp and state whether SAE J 1349, STD, ECE, DIN, ISO 1585 or whatever has been applied. Those corrections still vary between each other in ambient standards and some include friction torque, others dont, but ultimately they converge. This way a cold day wont artificially inflate numbers and make others scratch their heads

Then again, I totally :iagree:, power is power and it got to be a healthy one. I am aiming for conservative 500whp/600bhp on 93 octan for peace of mind. Shouldnt require more than 8-9psi

i have the kit installed with the upgraded fuel system and custom 3 inch exhaust. On conservative tune i made 540whp/424tq on 9psi

Is that on Stock Block?

V1H 06-30-2015 02:51 PM

I am also having the CJM S1 Return Fuel System and got Motordyne's 2.5-3" hybrid catback, though Im adding the optional 3" HFCs. So, I should hit 500whp @ max 9psi no problem, I reckon ;)

TT kit delivery

Hi all, this week I received my AAM TT kit and I am a very happy chap :D
After what I've been through with my past TT kit order from another three letter company on here I am well impressed by AAM and Torqen's joint venture. AAM manufactured its first 370Z RHD for me in perhaps 7-10 days and only 3 weeks passed from me putting down the cash and receiving the entire package in front of my door. Very pleased, greatest appreciation for you guys :tiphat:

I wrote my first impressions over here.

EDIT: Just to be absolutely clear, my kit is a standard LHD kit and will be adapted to fit RHD by Torqen, here in the UK. It will function as blueprint for future RHD kits. Modifications will most likely involve redesigning and casting a new Driver side (UK) manifold and work will commence soon.

Thanks for using our fuel system and good luck with the project! You aren't even going to believe you're driving the same car after those turbos are attached and you're all tuned and driving. Quite the beast is hidden in these cars just waiting to be awoke.

So I am told, right now still hard to imagine. Can't wait for it :p

phunk, I was meaning to ask you something:
My CJM Stage 1 Fuel system contains all part in below picture except for the red circled ones. Is this correct, given that I am having the DW300 pump with kit? Thanks for clarification.
http://www.prelude.myzen.co.uk/370Z/Temp/CJMS1.jpg
http://www.prelude.myzen.co.uk/370Z/Temp/FPump.jpg

phunk 07-19-2015 06:13 PM

Those parts are the optional fuel pump installation kit that is used to support the top of some fuel pumps, depending on how the pump is being held in the pump module.

If the DW300 you have looks exactly like the image you attached, something will be needed to support the fuel pump in the housing... it can be done any number of ways. Also the hoses and the tube in our fuel pump install kit provide a way to connect a hose to the fuel pump and filter inlet. I am not sure if the hose in the attached photo will work or not.

Ok thanks I will check with Adrian, my installer, if we should get these parts, too.
Best wishes

That's crazy amazing @9psi, Robert! U got to have around 650 BHP
Is it not pushing the stock internals? Will u have 10 years of a reliable motor?
How does it feel to push the pedal to the metal? :driving:
I hope to achieve 500whp/600bhp by the end of this year, too, though Im already crapping myself by the thought of it

anyone got any good quality videos of their cars doing some pulls? i'd like to know how it sounds from the inside of the car without hearing all the extra noise coming from the dyno runs.

Sound is kind of dependent on the exhaust system, but here is my latest run down the track:

Most definitely! Also need better driver skills as it was only my second time taking the car to the strip. Trips were mainly for fun and to see what I could do with no modifications to the street setup, plan is to slowly change things and continue learning.

keep at it. more runs and practice will drop that time a good bit quick.

Pondering getting the AAM TT. I have a Fast Intentions exhaust would this kit fit with the exhaust or does that put me just getting the FI kit. I do like what people talk about the EFR turbos.

The AAM TT requires 3" downpipes (part of the kit). These downpipes also end in 3"! Therefore my Motordyne catback (bolts to 2.5" stock downpipes) didn't fit. I had to upgrade to 3" catback.

Having said that, it'll depend on whether you have a 2.5" F.I. catback (which I presume) or their 3" turbo catback.
Maybe KN21283 can elaborate on his FI catback.

From what I remember there's a little play between the bolts and flanges that allowed the FI cbe to center up with the down pipes.

Eeh, I was planning on getting the FI 18" res. CBE. Is this going to fit the AAM TT kit?

If you're planning on a turbo build you should be buying the 3" FI exhaust.

3" might be overkill if you never build a block but I agree FI exhaust is the way to go.

shadow85 01-30-2017 06:58 AM

Tony at FI told me it wouldn't be ideal to mate a 2.5" CBE to the 3" down pipes of the AAM TT Kit.

So I guess I will be getting the 3" FI TT CBE.

shadow85 02-09-2017 06:44 AM

I did it, I just pulled the trigger on an AAM TT RHD Kit.

AFAIK, I would be the first to get an AAM RHD TT kit here in Australia. I have asked around for others but apparantly no one else has got it yet here. I guess I will be the guniea pig to see if the RHD actually fits from factory or will it still need modifications like the GTM RHD kits needed.

Time will tell, can't wait :)

Congrats! No, u wont be the guinea pig for RHD 370Z fitment because that's already been me, jointly with TORQEN (U.K.).
By the time ur kit gets shipped all will have been adapted
