Today's a special day. 2.5 yrs ago I bought the AAM TT RHD kit. Developent took this long.
Today I took my 370Z to Horsham Developments (U.K.) for the install (together with various supporting upgrades) Will be 2-3 weeks wait, then I'll rock the nationwide first AAM 370Z TT! :-) PS: would be nice of AAM if they sent me some aam decals so I can advertise them :-p |

Those downpipes should really be supported. You don't want all that stress on the v-band connection.

Quick update. Because there were some issues with my original HFC downpipes, AAM manufactured me a new pair and they have now arrived in the U.K. After some new ceramic coating they installation can go on.

Hi shadow85. H-Dev's last update this week was they gonna test fit the engine now. If all fits the new downpipe's gonna get a sensor bung welded on and sent away for ceramic coating. So, that'll take all next week.

The engine setup needed some tweaking for it to seat nicely in engine bay without any chafing problems. After that, the fuel return system will be finalized and onto all vacuum plumbing and wiring. So there is still a bit to do but it is progressing nicely and Craig and Co are doing a terrific job |

TT install update
Update on the TT install:
My external oil cooler setup needed to be modified, the hoses caused interference, new fittings have now been made. The standard cooler lines for the OEM oil filter had to be rerouted and repalced. It's all very busy now down there. The downpipes will be fitted at the very end; the engine was already out and in 3 times. https://www.350z-uk.com/applications...f25df2f8cd7e83 Completed Fuel Return System with bigger pump and the necessary Venturi mod and all inside the tank. https://www.350z-uk.com/applications...035b18c317d7c3 https://www.350z-uk.com/applications...9ef7760674edf8 At the moment, H-Dev are having a problem getting the passenger Turbo intake pipe fitted. The A/C piping and compressor hard lines leave no physical way of routing the intake pipe to the Turbo. New A/C pipes may have to be fabricated but H-Dev is contacting AAM first. https://www.350z-uk.com/applications...17e91c7f4d1032 After that: - boost controller - Heavy Duty CSC + CMC and bleeding (the Clutch and flywheel have already been installed) - refitting all electrics (incl fitting bulkhead connector through firewall) - installing PCV system upgrades, incl. two OCCs and stealthy VTA setup |
When i installed a sandwitch plate i removed the oem oil cooler it gives you way more room because i ran into the same issue with space, only the 2012 and up zs have that most oil cooler install instructions do not cover that.

We may have a solution to your oil cooler issue :tiphat:
Have you heard about our R-Line Cooler System? It's very compact and it doesn't require direct airflow like traditional style coolers. It also utilizes coolant to keep the temps in check. We mount it out of the way in-line with the lower radiator hose. |

Craig put back all bits onto the engine, looking nearly final now.
Unfortunately, there's so little space now everywhere that he wasn't able to fit my expensive Radium Engineering dual OCCs :cry: The PCV upgrade has thus been fitted as supplied by the AAM kit (stock-like closed system but with brass check valves) http://www.prelude.myzen.co.uk/370Z/Temp/204.jpg The downpipes are now being heat-wrapped (in addition to their ceramic coatings) and go back on, too. Meanwhile, Phil is going to fabricate a nice little engine loom cover from aluminium with an H-Dev badge on it. Should look similar to the 350Z EVO-R titanium cover. When Craig bolted on the downpipes, they touched the underfloor. They will have to be cut and re-welded to slightly correct their angle, not ideal being ceramic coated but the only way. AAM used a test rig to align exhaust parts, which may have introduced some variability.
The fuel line routed past the turbo housing within a few cm, which H-Dev fortunately identified as a disaster waiting to happen, and thus, added a thermal barrier blanket, bolted to the chassis side wall. http://www.prelude.myzen.co.uk/370Z/Temp/260.jpghttp://www.prelude.myzen.co.uk/370Z/Temp/261.jpg This photo shows the boost solenoid of my GReddy EBC kit. Been mapped now at 8 psi making 500 bhp. Havent seen the dyno plot yet but should be sufficient daily drive grunt at a very reliable boost. Very temped to leave it at that. Waiting to see what Jez recommends

There was a final hurdle to master, which has now been overcome.
My Amuse front bumper with its curved under-tray interfered with the lower boost pipes. The raised black sections need to be remoulded and lowered slightly.
