On the way home from work, I took note of some peak holds which I haven't cleared since the beginning of this year. We've also had our share of 100+ weather. BUT ... I've never tracked my car so I've never hit limp mode.

EGT = 1453 at the manifold

Oil T = 233

Coolant T = 222

For reference at idle, the EGT goes down to 700-750.

So yea, the turbos will not add much more heat to the oil but under boost, the higher EGT WILL. If I tracked my car, I'd add an oil cooler.

Thank you Terry. It would be interesting to know what EGT an N/A car sees at the manifold.

turbo systems replace the intakes, so the stillen gen 3 intakes are replaced by intercooler piping

Can the automatic transmission handle this TT setup? And if so what other upgrades would you need to buy to make sure it ran perfectly (if any)?

Yes, AT reliability can be increased by adding a tranmission cooler and shift kit to keep fluid temps down. Sensors and gauges that have audible alarms are also highly recommended to monitor temps and pressures.

The price of the kits can be found on GTM's website... Install you can expect to be around $3-4k depending on what all you got. Remember its more than just the kit. You have to figure in the supporting mods as well.
