Translation: You're going to be spending alot of money in the long run whenever running forced induction on a factory N/A car.

Got a link to this 340rwhp+ N/A 370? I remember seeing a 300rwhp+ one but can't remember how far they got it. I can't wait to see 400rwhp N/A.

EDIT: The standard 370z gear box seems more than able to handle 400-500rwhp so just a new clutch there. No idea about the diff and rest of the drive train but if your not doing really hard launches I can't see it falling apart considering how power many older vehicles can handle on the standard drive train. The clutch is the number one thing that would need to be upgrading, after that I would think the diff before getting new cv joints etc, I haven't really seen any CV joints fail its usually the actual shafts from hard launches from what I have seen.

My pleasure. This one is actually ~345rwhp.

A baseline of 302whp is a little too generous though

Yep, that's like only a 7 or 8 percent drive train loss....not likely.

Yeah the drive train loss seems a little low, 15-20% is more reasonable. Most stock dynos i've seen are in the 280-288 range which indicates a relatively low ~15% drive train loss.

On a dynojet that will be around 20 or so less. Those dynos always read high and need to be taken with a grain of salt.

^^^That's Semtex with no tune. That's the lowest reading dyno vs. the highest reading dyno. Maybe the Mustang dyno is the most accurate?

I dunno, I don't really care about numbers.

i dont doubt they can hit 500 whp safely on stock motor. But you have to look at what kind of manifolds and turbos are used. Im coming from FI'ed S2000s and before people thought the block was limited to 400 at most. Well while tuners push the limit and understand the car better they realize you can boost a lot more!

I see no reason for this block to be able to hit 500 whp reliably. **** in my S i can hit 400-450 with a stock block. What im curious is known what the max this thing can put down. Oh and open deck is fine for boost. A lot of engine builders use open deck builds on high hp (700+) cars.

Unfortunately S2k's make zero TQ, hence why I got rid of mine. 400-450 on a stock F22 is begging for disaster, which is why most bolt on turbos come with a conservative tune and make 300-350hp. I see no reason why this engine cant withstand 500-550whp safely, hell, there IS a 600whp TT'ed G37 rolling around as we speak....

lol tuned one @ 15lbs making 436whp. thats definitely a safe spot on pump gas. you would be surprised how strong F and K motors are. im doing a stock block build right now on my own Kseries EG and shooting for 600whp stock sleeves.

Yes, you've tuned one at 436hp, congratulations. I've seen them pop at 400. And what good is 400hp if your TQ isnt above 250ft/lbs? Anything Honda makes is a waste of time, effort and money, which is why I wont own another. Just an opinion.

That is one of the most ignorant posts I have ever seen! Honda did right when they made the s2000. Ask anyone at the track how well an s2000 does compared to other cars and the answer might surprise you! s2000's are lil monsters on the track I have seen kraftwerks supercharged s2000's @ 400hp eat up everything on the track!!!

The F series Motor is very stout especially when you consider ppl are boosting and still running 8k+ RPM limiters! To say anything Honda makes is a waste is ignorant! I used to hate honda before I owned one and truely understood the capabilities of the s2000! I will bet you cant take your car to lil tally raceway and pull a sub 1:15 in your car. When my s2000 had just coilovers I was running 1:08's for very lil torque it does dam good! Now the 370z is just sick on the track! I was pulling 1:12's on my warmup laps in the monsoon rain! completely stock! But this isnt a thread on Honda or nissan but rather yet the limitations we see of the stock block. Now I am one of the first to be TT in this community and should have my car TT by the first of the year. We are expecting to run 500-550hp daily on the stock block.

AAM just dyno'd there first 370Z, it was making over 500 rwhp, and they are going to detune it.
