That's why the water is pumped into and out of the intercooler continuously. It is still possible for the intercooler to be heatsoaked, but we will have to see what Stillen says when they begin real world testing.

This setup is almost identical to computer hardware cooling, and if the level of water in/out is efficient then there will be no issues. I have seen 100°C CPUs drop into the 50-55°C range with a medium to high water cooling system.

Yep, I am still in them. I saw the blog post and instantly thought PC setup. Only thing that would be better would be certain types of oils, I have seen PCs setup with an oil liquid and they cool about 10°C lower but the oil is extremely expensive from what I hear.

I'm running an E8400 at 3.8 on an air cooled setup. Its working actually very well. I don't think I'll ever OC to the point I'll need water cooling but I'm sure its just cool to look at regardless.

Alright, lets stop before this thread gets derailed

Derailed, PC v. Supercharger, very similar.

The issue is whether or not the heat exchanger can keep the air cool under boosted runs - Water IC systems seem to heat soak more easily than A/A systems.
