I dont think it will hurt. A TT and a SC are two different animals IMO. Those that want a SC are only looking for a modest gain in hp/tq but those that want a TT are looking for huge gains. I only want around 80 more hp/tq with a SC so that hopefully it will be more of a install and forget mod. A TT would need constant tweaking IMO. I will be waiting and watching to see how the SCs do and thier reliability and if all goes well have one in a yr after they have it all worked out and reliable. But I would like to know what type it will be now if possible.

I am hoping its not a roots type blower like the one for the 350z. I am hoping they use the TVS/rotex system or similar as it looks great on paper! HKS and GTM are using it with very impressive results. If Stillen is going this route we can definitly expect up to 450 rwhp and 375 tq. I am willing to wait and see what Stillen has to offer before I choose which way to go. I was at first all over the idea of going twin turbo with AAM but the more I talked with them the more extensive the project was going to be and the cost went from 10K to 15K really quick and I got cold feet and walked away. After taking a step back I truly feel a well designed supercharger system will more than satisfy my ND4SPD. I have been very happy with all of my Stillen mods, so much i display it proudly on my windshield, so most likely thier new supercharger will ultimatly end up under my hood.

I personally think the Vortech V-5 blower would be ideal here, on the 4th Gen Eclipse GT V6's, they were making 430whp from 230, thats insane, check the link. If they can make 200whp on a 3.8L V6, I hope we can make at least 430whp.

Does anyone really know what they are working with? I mean, I just want to know what extra stuff I am going to have to budget for. I really have to work out my path ahead of time. Once I pick up the Z, my "fun" money will be drstically different. If I wait until after I pick up my Z to purchase upgrades and such, I will have to save for 3-6 months to comfortably afford bolt-ons and ???? for F/I solution. Maybe it will be better in the long run, that way I get the most out of my warranty before I start voiding things.

By the way, one thing that we can confirm right now is that no aftermarket intake will fit the supercharger. We were hoping to design the kit so that it would be possible but we have come to the conclusion that there is just no way to accomodate an aftermarket intake.
The kit will come COMPLETE meaning it will come with an intake. It just won't work with the factory intake or any aftermarket intake. One will be provided with the kit. Last edited by Kyle@STILLEN; 12-11-2009 at 05:52 PM. |

Why on earth would an aftermarket OEM replacement CAI also work with an aftermarket supercharger even if it were from the same company?

if it was a rotor type they could have routed the throttlebodies to the G3 intake take a chill pill dude i noticed they censored you laughing at snakes out of your post. It's a valid idea unfortunately it doesn't work with a centrifugal
