It's the worst part of the install by far.
It helps tremendously if you have someone to hold the charge pipe steady while you push on the turbo. Oil the hell out of the coupler and turbo.

A bit of oil on the charge pipe that slides in to the coupler will go a long way. I can do it with my eyes closed
. I will be looking at making this part of the install a whole lot simple....if all goes according to plan of course.

The biggest problem I have had is getting the freaking clamps on. The one on the turbo compressor housing and the one beside the oil sandwich adaptor took the most time over everything on the kit for me.

Can you put the charge pipe on first then run it up front?

Sometimes one can get a bit frustrated, and then it just compounds. I have found that when I do get frustrated or can't figure something out, it is best to walk away for a bit and then come back to it. 99% of the time, you can get the part that was such a pain done in a couple of minutes. At least that has been my experience with working on cars.

Oh, I have a leak where the line connects to the oil reservoir on the turbo. I know someone else had an issue with one, it may have been that specific one. What did you do to fix it. I have already made sure it was really snug, and I don't really want to tighten it any more because i dont want to damage it. Should I try some thread paste? It MAY be leaking from the actual body of the an end rather than the threads, so idk what the heck to do lol.

Correct, that charge pipe has to go in from the front.

My leak was not that line, it was a different one, and it was leaking from the seal where the line goes into the fitting, it eventually went away after adjust the lines, also with these lines, make certain there is no pressure on them, or they will not seat and leak. As for the turbo, since I have hand it on and off several times now, make sure all the front charge pipes are installed, and I tighten all the clamps up front, this makes the charge pipes resist moving, then you can slide the turbo outlet into the coupler. There is not much, but there is room there to slide and twist the filter forward and put it on after. Just a suggestion, but in my head I could not figure out why the turbo outlet has a angle on it, it seems to me if it were straight many of these issues would go away, even after everything is mounted it still at an angle a in the coupler, at least mine is. If you want to change your trans fluid, do it BEFORE you put the manifold on! Everyone I have shown this kit to now installed is uberly impressed btw, Dyno on Friday!
