I want to see a cool looking intake manifold (not the GTR). Like a dual intakes coming from the intercooler leading to a big single throttle body. But that's more luxury items. But a intake manifold of any type would be nice. I just can't spend more than let's $1500 on a nice one. I just want a better looking one.

What was the company that made one that doesn't sell it anymore? Motordyne?

stevent85 06-05-2013 07:50 AM

I believe that was kinetix. They only sold like 5. Look nice....no performance.

Same here 107 and now looks like we might have rain tonight. Which means it's going to be as humid as Satans rectum!

The reason the aftermarket STi cats don't fail is quite simple. They are designed for the application. Mounting the cats farther away is actually a bad thing and shortens the life of the cat since it needs heat to do its job. The better Subaru Downpipes use correct cats and mount them in the factory location right after the turbo outlet. The HFC's currently on the market for this car are NOT designed to handle Forced Induction.

We will be offering high flow cats as part of our new modular downpipe design. These cats are designed specifically for high horsepower, forced induction applications. In fact, we are so confident in their performance that we will be offering a warranty against failure.

The HFC's we will be offering are for our 3" downpipes with external wastegates as an option. You can also swap to 3" test pipes for track days if you like since they are bolted pieces. This new option is a great way for people to go that want 500whp and still have clean exhaust. Also, these cats will keep emissions down just as well as the stock cats, but have more flow and stand up to higher exhaust temps with richer air/fuel mixtures.

Sam

Sam,

When will you offer these high power forced induction cats ( Without external wastegate ) ? I hope very soon.

Yes, it is still going on. We will most likely be closing the group buy later this month/early next month.

Will you make an official anouncement when you close it? Desperetly trying work out the funds for this without financing. Thanks!

Jms racing here in San Antonio is doing this kit on a g37x as we speak. Look forward to results :)

khanhvu411 06-07-2013 07:52 AM

O.o how did they get the kit? Have GTM shipped them out already?

Is this a production kit or another prototype?
