well its been just about 2 weeks since last update. I just want to be kept informed on exactly where everything is at on the timeline.

I thank gtm for offering the free turbo upgrades in return for their delays.

how about some free test pipes too!

What he said, my car is all but loaded on the trailer for her date with SZ. No reason to complain about the agreement it's all good. And just so you guys know, Sam/Mike were stand up guys and refunded my money in full. Good luck!!!:excited:

I wish you FI fanboys knew what the real story was.

Idk, I waited 10 months on mine. Sometimes it was downright irritating, patience was tested, and no emails were the bane of my existence, in retrospect, I'd do it all again. Even with my car back at GTM for minor fixes. People are all different, their tolerances are different and their expectations are different. I'm just eager to see results

You haven't completely lost faith yet. Give it time. Your thread will come.

Wow...that is the kettle calling the pot black. Everyone has a story!!! It's is a matter of which other stories, myths, and perceptions you choose too believe. We all way and measure things we know to be true and those we don't. Your story has been played out here for all to see and a lot of folks have followed your lead, which is cool. You are very knowledgeable but just because some of us decide to make different choices doesn't make us wrong or haters.

Really, I get it, you are frustrated and I feel for you after all your effort and support for GTM.

I've lost all excitement, it's now just a waiting game unfortunately, I know it'll be worth it in the end and I don't want to get a refund because I know I won't purchase anything else upfront again, but the excitement is gone completely, it won't be until something arrives at the front door that I'll be excited again lol

You do know my car was already delivered yes? So no, my faith was not lost. Even when my tensioner pulley failed and belt shredded to tiny pieces of rubber. Because GTM handled that problem the same day by scheduling a transport to take delivery and fix the problem. Sure it might take a few weeks, but what's it to me, I'm out of town. I'm not in this group buy, I'm just excited for it to happen. All I'm saying is I empathize with the wait these guys have to endure and the nibbles of info they receive. I've been there, I had my gripes, I posted it. And after waiting all that time, listening to my SC's whir and BPV's exhaust pressure, listening to my motor scream, likewise my tires in mercy, I am a satisfied customer.

I completely understand where you are coming from. After working out all of the kinks with my Stage 1.5 SC and finally getting everything perfect, I am slightly apprehensive about doing a full engine build and TT kit. A lot of things to account for when doing massive builds like this. Did you upgrade your Mass Airflow Sensors for your build?

I didn't do the MAFs. The build was the full regular turbo kit including tune and supporting hardware only + boost controller to begin with.

Why did you have to build the block? How much boost are you running? IWG?

Some issues with internals developed. Nothing catostophic, but required engine crack open, so I chose to build the block with the ank cost of cracking the engine anyway.
Originally was at 11psi. After the build I'm running 13psi.

Don't understand what this means? Real story with what, GTM? FI?

Thought the real story re: GTM was that the foundry has delayed them for months + Sam having all the medical issues, yes?

COSMO 11-13-2013 07:37 AM

I also threatened to cancel my order due to a 2 months delay. Needless to say when that happened they managed to pull one out of their @ss.. I really feel for you guys. I can only dread if and when I have to order anything else from them down the road.:confused:

Will they not let you change your order?

I would think they would do it but it's another $1700. If it was 4-5 months ago I could of swung it but now I'm worried I won't have the cash to do the install. If I would have known in the beginning I could of made the decision then and I would be driving my FI Z right now. Finances can change and they did, but it wouldn't of hurt me if I could of made the decision earlier.

COSMO 11-13-2013 08:29 AM

Just do it yourself and save some money. I have done 3 Twin Turbo kits thus far and its really not too bad.
