i'd reckon pretty safe. you'd want a transmission cooler and should probably go for a valve body upgrade too from GTM. in gears 6 and 7 you should stay out of boost

faceglide 10-14-2013 05:50 PM

In all due respect, what did you expect?

You have dyno numbers, with no proof of such a vehicle ever running. There are no miles on this kit, nothing. Nothing running, nothing being tested. I was scared off this kit, because I did NOT want to be a test mule when paying for a finished kit. I don't pay for promises, it shouldn't work that way.

F.I. did not make their kit available UNTIL they had an operating prototype, this prototype is running flawlessly, has been and now has mileage behind it.

You guys keep ******* around with phone calls and "private" information, yet there's nothing out there.

I am patiently waiting on my FI kit because a)worth it and b)it exists! I get updates that are available to ALL buyers and not used to push their product.

Best of luck to you guys tho, I hope it all works out.

You act as if FI is rocket science. GTM has been pushing the envelope for many years. No testing needs to be done. That's not the issue. Your argument is very invalid. Your not involved so get the hell out. But I'm sure you'll come back some other off the wall passage that you think will justify your actions. People don't know how to keep there mouth shut and have to get that last word in. I'm sure you'll think its funny. I assure you it will be lame and everyone will be laughing at you. Now go justify spending 10K+ on a FI kit that will make the same numbers as this kit on a stock block. Lol.

Damn truth right there.

Until you have to pay for the hidden costs of chinese components...........

faceglide 10-14-2013 06:32 PM

SPOHN feisty! Wish you the best man!

tl:dr - Until there is a prototype with miles racking up and proof of this, don't expect a ship date, it's that simple. Anything else is just silly.

I know this would of been a flawless perfectly finished kit but there's no way that could remotely make me feel better about it. I'm literally depressed about it. To type this seems so pointless.

Come tonight I'm going to do some serious thinking and tomorrow is most likely it for me. Even if I had in my hands I'm looking at three weeks to be up and running.

I would not have your patience, I am actually in talks with my shop to go FI and this kit will probably will not be on the list regardless of how good of a kit is due to the wait alone, if anything return all the money back and charge it when its out with all of the delays.

Specially on a full track car like yours, I'm at the track pretty much every other weekend, U bet my *** I will flip if I can't track it for even past 2 months!!

I don't think it's the delays that are causing the tension, its the communication. The reason no one in the other threads is upset is because the vendor communicates with the masses.

Check out the pattern here. Everyone gets temperamental, GTM communicates, everyone is excited and forgiving. The problem is, GTM hasn't logged on to this forum in 11 days. Other vendors respond within hours at most.

If a vendor is hosting a group buy with a gross value well over half a million dollars, the least they could do is spend the 5 minutes required to update the customer. A very large portion of the customers would be content with the delays as long as they knew what was causing them and had some visibility to the process. I know multiple people personally that have backed out of this group buy and cited communication failures as the reason.

This is basically what I wrote about 10 pages back. Anyone who was suprised when it was delayed massively is a little naive. Big project = Big potential delays.

The lack of communication whilst holding peoples money is the issue here really. I'm willing to wait as long as it takes but I truely hope that GTM learn a little about communication from this. When mistakes happen, its how they are dealt with that determines peoples final opinion of a business.

That said.........Gimme My Boost!!!! :icon17:

Well said. For me now it's the PRINCIPLE . All these guys talking about delays are expected. I've been here the most and very supportive of GTM always. I've talked to GTM a lot. I've received a least two dozen PM's from about 4 different guys asking for my support to see them threw this. People asking me questions about how they should run there kit. So on and so on. I'm just highly stressed about it and pretty sure at the moment I'm about done. I'll support GTM still but for my personal reason I can't go no longer.

Sorry to hear it. Are you going to go a different route or just drop it all together?

I get bashed on a lot about my choice of companies (parts), kit, shop, and tuner. In the end, I went with the best at the time and I am satisfied..........for now.

Dzel 10-14-2013 07:31 PM

It's a hard choice for me if I did want to back out. If I don't go with this kit I will not go FI at all
