But I do have a great appreciation for the amount of volume this is. And that CNC pipe-bender is the tittays and could lead to some amazing products down the line.

I just called Mike@GTM and joined the Group Buy. The delays are fine with me as I don't even own a car at the moment (live in NYC) and won't need one until next summer (moving to FL). Between now and then I'll be shopping for the right 370z at the right price.
Hopefully the shipping starts soon for the rest of you guys! Get all the kinks worked out for me ;) |
My issue is that if I had known it was gonna take this long I would of just bought the Stage 1.5 SC and it would be back from Z1 Motorsports by now. Yes, It costs more but usually is a cheaper install. On top of that I like the linear power delivery better.

Delays are not the end of the world for me. The lack of communication is what is disappointing. Without even considering everyone else, to hold over $8000 of my money for months on end without a single email explaining what is going on, is not good business practise. I could have simply chucked that cash into a 6 month term deposit and made a couple of hundred on it by now. To be honest it is pretty typical of most performance garages though, fantastic products, great mechanics and engineers, but not a huge amount of business accumen.
I am not worried about being ripped off. I know that the kit will arrive eventually and will kick *** but I do hope that GTM learn a thing or two about communication from reading this thread. People will always forgive mistakes and delays, as long as they feel as though the company is doing everything they can to make things right. A simple blanket email every few weeks, with a status update for everyone who has ordered and paid would go a hell of a long way. Being on the other side of the planet, I do not really have the luxury of being able to pick up the phone and call (nor should i really have to). Being left in the dark is what causes people to lose confidence and provokes many of the comments made over the last dozen or so pages of this thread. All that being said, I cant wait to get the kit and have just moved into a new house with a massive garage so that I have more room for the install :) Im also heading down to the drags tonight to get a baseline time to compare against once I have the kit installed. |
I may be wrong, but the main hold up is the turbo manifold castings to complete. The piping can get knocked out quickly with the pipe machine. 130+ kits sold may have a thing or two to do with the delays. Waiting sucks, I ranted in my own thread a couple times. If I had to do it again, I wouldnt hesitate.
