Default WOT box 2-step

Have any of you turbo guys looked into a 2-step. I was looking into the WOT box from N2MB racing. I was wondering if anyone has heard or had any experience with this system or if it would work well ?

I had a two-step installed on my 37 a couple years ago, the WOTBOX in fact. The installation was a bitch and you can't do RPM lockout. What that basically means, if you hold the clutch pedal down for too long, or shift too fast, it could engage the two step while in motion (not good). With a lightened flywheel it was even worse. Imagine getting on it, shifting at 60mph, your ignition shutting off for a milisecond, then unburnt fuel from the exhaust causing a huge fireball. First time it happened to me, I thought my motor went kaput, scared the chit out of me.

Long story short, I don't recommend the Wotbox on this platform. The 350 / G35 it works fine because of the RPM lockout. It disables after a certain RPM that you set.

Hope this helps

Wow that sucks

It's simple get the RaceLogic traction control from GTM one of the features is it has a 2 step. The 2 step is only activated when you press and hold the button from a stand still.

I have the system and its great for putting down all the power I have in any gear well worth it.

There are plenty of cars out there that use a 2 step GTR's Evo's come to mind.

Once the weather warms up being able to build boost form a stand still is going to help at the track.

Ignition retard launch control, or anti-lag in the turbo world, can definitely improve your 60' time on a turbo charged car. On a N/A car I dont see much of a purpose other than to make a bunch of noise. With a turbo car it can take you from building 6psi at launch to 20psi, huge difference in power off the line. On top of the lack of functionality on a N/A application it can cause catastrophic damage as your EGT during that time goes through the roof. Melted valves are in your future if you stand on the anti-lag too long/too often!

Just my 2cents.

Thanks,
Alex Goodwin

From what I have heard you can program a launch control map with uprev. If I could have an uprev cypher cable I would already have it on mine to at least test it out.

I've heard the same. There's some people with videos of it on 350z's I've seen. Still not sure how good it is for your car, but would be pretty sweet still... haha

You cannot program launch control in Uprev .

The only thing you can do is use your valet map where you set the car to only rev to a certain RPM. This is a pain to try and use a launch control because you have to switch to your tune map ,and hold the button down all while trying to launch the car.

With Racelogic all you have to do it activate the launch control feature and press the gas. After building boost you can drop the clutch or slip it.
