yea pretty much if you want boost but not dropping 4k in a tranny go with a SC kit. but then you also don't get the option to hit high HP numbers. it's all give and take to fit what each person wants.

I do believe people have quotes the stock 7AT to be able to handle 400wtq stock.

Yes, it is a give and take, but it is so much fun to watch a car with or around the same power level but in a stick shift. During the race go to shift into the next gear and during that moment of shift my Z jumps out forward! UpRev did a very good job with tuning the transmission, that is key to this kit there's almost two tunes, engine management and transmission once that is done properly the car will perform.

no boost but I still had my tranny tuned for better shifts so I know the feeling.....minus supercharger whine lol

Automatic beats Stick any day. If you likes to shift then that is cool but don't knock the next man decision if he likes the AT.

What if the 7AT transmission wasn't not the weak point when trying to go the Force Induction Route.....At the end of the day I like my 7AT. Time to beef it up.

you must be new here if you think i'm talking ill about the 7AT lol

but you have a point that if the 7AT wasn't a weak point for higher HP (turbo build) then I would have went boost long time ago. but now we have level 10, fast intentions, and others making upgraded tranny's and parts to beef the whole system up.

it's a good time to be in the market for boost with a 7AT

Yes the stick shift is eventually going to go the way of the dodo bird. In 20 years a car with a stick transmission will be special order and only in certain cars. I grew up on a stick it but I more appreciate a quick paddle shift auto honestly. I can't decide whether to drop 20 grand on turbos and an upgraded AT or put 20 grand tour towards a used GTR. Granted a GTR will hold its value but insurance and other costs for the car can add up plus a modified and turboed 370z will be stock GTR on a roll. (if its done right) On the other hand a dual clutch transmission and all wheel drive is my dream.

my honest suggestion is take $20k as a down payment on a new GT-R. dealerships are selling them for $85K right now. much beter buy than a used one for 65-70K. unless it's a 2013. quickest 0-60 & 1/4 stock.

but i'm right there with you on the decision of 20K for TT and upgraded 7AT vs. other things.

Not new @ ALL. Nevertheless I commented and accidentally included your quote. I know you have an Automatic. After all I was one of the members with the GTM Twin SC's.

Next up More Boost --> Turbo.
