I feel ya bro...it's damn hard to stay out boost because it's just begs you to go there!

cycy89 01-09-2014 03:12 PM

Just got off the phone with Tony and finalized last few details. It is so close and I can almost smell it! Hopefully you guys come up with something amazing with the automatic transmission to go with this amazing tt kit!

Ps Texas dmv declined my license plate TT*Z apparently it's inappropriate... I even sent an appeal letter. Bastards now I have to pick a new plate...

CA DMV did the same thing to me...twice!

jofro6 01-09-2014 03:49 PM

NY must either be less strict, or just not smart enough to pick up on it... my friend had an Audi TT back a few years ago. His plate was SHOURTTS (show your TTs) It was great lol

Fast Intentions did not just install the Twin Turbo Kit. Fast Intentions found the right clutch for me to be able to put the power down. They also found the right bushings for the differential to eliminate wheel hop. We spend time figuring out what boost controller I want, what exhaust I want, and what wide-band I need. When I picked up the car, Fast Intentions spend an hour or two showing me how to property use the car. They took me on a test drive and showed me everything I need to know about the turbo's, the new clutch, and the boost controller. Also when I picked up my car it was detailed in and out, I got it back completely spotless, engine bay was also clean and detailed. Quality and Support is outstanding, The best I've ever had from any performance shop.

That is truly some top-notch customer service. It always impresses me when companies go above and beyond for their clients. Well done F.I. and Specialty Z. :tiphat:

I wish my kit wasn't so far down the line >.<. My Z should be the first of the kind on the east coast, at least I have that going for me. Now I need to go buy a Go Pro... >.>

Update,

There are 2 dyno charts of Nklear's car below. The first on 91 octane. The second showing a comparison between 91 octane and a 91/100 Octane mixture with 2 additional psi. I highlighted where the car made peak torque. Rest assured anyone who thought there might be turbo lag, there is none!

This car is equipped with our "Stage 1+" TT Kit...

Hell ya it does! That line is up there quick and is horizontal. Looks like full boost pretty much by 2800 =-O. This is what put me in the buy. Can't wait!

F.I. Inc. 01-12-2014 01:22 AM

I edited my post from earlier tonight with this additional dyno chart showing the comparison between the 2 fuels and boost levels.

You guys are not making it any easier to resist dumping my Greddy setup for the Fast Intentions kit. Sad part is that I should have just waited it out.

I am highly offended, they didnt detail my car in and out after they installed my exhaust

but on a more serious note, it is without a doubt that their service, craftsmanship, and reputation are best in the business, Tony and Blake always been patient and answer my questions every time i called.

I have been following this thread ever since it started, now i am deciding whether i should go on a ramen noodle diet to save up for this kit. But then i chose an auto as my DD, my fat foot will probably blow the trans if i am not driving it correctly

Ron 01-13-2014 04:17 PM

Just dropping by to say hi Tony. Glad to see the kit is doing so well! If I didn't have one already there's no doubt this is what I would get. Congrats!

PS: My friend went MIA and hasn't said anything back on the exhaust. I'll let you know.

Trying to get more information on the Tial "alpha" compressor housing (mentioned as an option for this kit) - if anyone by chance has a link to more info (I do not see it on the Tial website). Thanks!

I think they're used on some aftermarket Porsches but I'm completely guessing based off the little bit of info I found:

Tial Alpha 30 A30 A3076 or A3071 GT Turbo's Porsche 996TT 997TT GT2 Turbo | eBay

Tial Sport Alpha 28 A28 GT Turbo's Turbochargers Porsche 996TT 997TT Turbo GT2 | eBay

rcdash 01-16-2014 01:54 PM

^ thanks for the links. I am not certain how the HTA upgrade (GTX2867 vs HTA2868 has been compared in detail on other platforms) or the new compressor cover will really add any benefit. Always try to keep an open mind considering I'm currently running the GTX2867 (and I'm certainly not complaining about those turbos! 800 whp at redline and spool at 3500 is not bad at all.)

Lol! Definitely requires a light foot in the first 2 gears if you don't want to spin. 3rd hooks great

I want to reply to this however at this time I do not have all of the comparison information directly front of me. Shortly I will do a full write up on the comparison of the different options. Pressure ratio, inducer/exducer size, wheel diameter, blade count, etc, etc.

Thank you all for your patience.

Thank you, Tony

Prevent Rape! Just say yes.....

While im here ill let Tony know I have secured a car lift and plan to just drop the motor on some stands. Thinking I can do the whole install with a buddy in 3 days of non-stop fun. A Southbend stage 3 clutch arrived at my doorstep last night. Still need to order the Zspeed CSC.

Great news! You should be able to tackle it in 3 long days worth of solid work, no interruptions of course!

Thanks, Tony
