Thinking about copying Charles and putting together a mean 18" set....or just an 18 rear and matching 19 front....dunno. This is the only place where I hate the Z, but I do want to run it in the 1/4 a bit this year. Meh, bought me an escort redline rad detector....for the ride home on I-5...lol. Good times, good times. |
WOW!! That graph is jaw dropping!!
Welcome to 600 WHP world.. gratz! |

Thanks bro, kinda mad at myself for not building the block up first....but the car only had like 9k....too many car problems. You should just shoot for 1k....with your setup and a good fuel system, easy breezy....i mean cmon, a stage ONE with 2.5" exhaust.....I am running the baby setup with a monster fuel rig! lol! Guess its time to order some CP madness, maybe shoot for 1k next summer.....looking into the future, the only car that interests me is the c7 z06....but I have 2 little boys and may just hold out for the R36 and throw my wad into the Z(may want some backseats, even if beast car)......pretty inspired right now! |

Great minds think alike bro. I had bought a pair of 18" te37sls for the rear initially and ended up getting another pair for the fronts last week. All i gotta say is r888 baby. Now i gotta sell my 19s. Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Yeah I reallllly dont want to...but its looking that way.
|
Yep, I love my Nismo wheels...but I have been thinking about the same thing on going with 18s, better choices, sizes and cost of tires. The bonus is they are lighter and perform better too!

So where is video of it melting rubber on the street? great work FI!!!

Congrats! Simply amazing.
This kit is just screaming at me to jump in... Can't wait to see how it works with the 7at in the works. |

In the dyno comparison chart below from yesterday the timing was fairly conservative for E85 until the 13 psi pulls. What Sebastian did first was get the A/F dialed in on those previous boost levels with about 15-16 degrees of timing in the car. If you look at the dyno chart closely you will see that the curve backs this up. At 3,500 rpm these two runs ramp up much steeper and harder (power/torque/boost) than the previous 3 pulls which are more linear to each other. Not until after the 11+ psi pulls did he start to get more aggressive with the timing. We then did not go back and dyno the car at the lower psi levels with the higher timing values. All of this combined with the fact that we are running our 2.5" exhaust system opposed to our 3" exhaust. We are fairly certain that around 550 RWH our 3" exhaust system would be about 2 psi lower than what it is showing. The 3" exhaust will eliminate virtually all back pressure on the back side of the turbo's. Now the 6.9 psi pull was with conservative timing and with the boost controller turned off. Basically wastegate spring pressure. http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps4b6687c6.jpg Thank you, Tony |

I just put this together real quick showing a comparison between our Stage 1 TT Kit on E85 vs. our GTR which has a Y Pipe and EcuTek tune. The GTR was tested on the same dyno (2WD mode) as the 370Z. This chart should put all of us GTR owners with mild mods on notice. DO NOT mess around with a FI TT 370Z on a roll. You will pay dearly!!!

NKlear, you blow your motor yet? We wanna see 800WHP

May I recommend CSF radiators to all the FI guys?
Company is local and made in the USA!!! Awesome products |

Nice work on this project, everyone! I also would like to say that I appreciate the feedback from Fast Intentions as the first installers of our S2 fuel system. I am making a couple changes to better accommodate their turbo system based on their input.
faceglide: the laser cut stainless support brackets for the hardpipe are complete... should I ship them to you, or to FI? |

I have one for trade!!!!!! :) |
I hear ya Charles, do keep me posted, I do not intend to do very much, if at all serious tracking on the car, but the 1/4 mile may be a fun venue and I think the car has much more potential than it is given credit to(especially in the engine). This fix is something I would look into. SO you didnt find much more traction from the R888s to the TQs...ouch that is limiting, to say the least.
As for the brackets, no clue. The car will be there for the week, I will be picking it up at the end of or more likely next week.I will get with Tony tomorrow, if he doesn't get you first. |
TQ vs R888... what I have noticed is that both compounds seem to hook up better initially than they do a few weeks down the road. The TQ does hook up better than the R888... but it still is not allowing my car to really get moving in the low gears. When I first installed them with almost no negative camber, the car could barely spin 2nd gear on a real good surface. But a month later and 2nd gear was useless 95% of the time and 3rd gear would occasionally spin.

And I thought you 6MT guys thought SRM was for pussíes? Lol And put pressure on ECUTek to figure it out |

As of now, we currently do not have the radiator on our site however we are a dealer for CSF. Great company to work with! I am going to talk to the rest of our upcoming installs about this upgrade. Thanks, Tony |

I rarely use SRM, but I think I would miss it if it wasn't available. I works wonders when you are in spirited mode keeping above 5k RPM. Tony: I may need a bit of assistance if I continue having issues with my radiator. I will contact you sometime this week to discuss that and a few details. Sent via Tapatalk 4 on D-Team Note II |

haha jk! :bowrofl: :icon17: SRM is fantastic! I have NEVER thought I'd use it regularly but I did. It makes driving so much easier and there's a reason why it's an option now for Corvette C7, Porsche Cayman, BMW M5-M3-M4 etc. I have 85000 miles and still on stock clutch! Sometimes I take it off and I feel so sloppy since I'm out of practice. But for those nights when I had a busy long 12 work shift, driving home with SRM is amazing! Anyway, congratulations Tony. I know we spoke before about this kit. Hopefully it brings you everything you've aimed for. |
AK, are you going to do anything about all the pornographic pictures (dyno charts) and obscene posts about 632 WHP. This all seems unacceptable
Totally kidding of course :bowrofl: Oh I can't wait to read faceglide's post in the review thread! Tony, all I'm going to say is these posts are doing nothing but eliminating conspicuous spending so people can later conspicuously spend it on a certain TT kit I have heard is pretty good. LOL |

Good to see that AK has free'd up some time, almost like a certain thread has been locked...:stirthepot::stirthepot:
Half way done with this damned week. Sadly, I have been doing most my work from home, due to being pretty sick and the whole H1N1 scare. I work in the medical field, so most my work is in phone emails......I almost want to go to work because the picture of my car and dyno graph are just up in the office. Spent some more time with my gt500 tho, trying to pretend it's my Z...:eekdance: All is well, car is immaculate, my wallet is laughing at my tax return being massive....wife want's to take a crazy vacation as retribution for all the additional stuff I threw into this build...worth it! I can't say enough about my experience. It has been a breeze, Tony and Dan are honest, good people, I feel like I got my penny's worth and am happy about where it is going to. I am proud to say that we will have many dealings in the coming years...we have a slate of projects in their infancy, so the next few years will be nothing but pure excitement. My next project short-term.....maybe a CJM RRP...I will keep a sharp eye on my Fuel Pressure....e85 doesnt help this problem:mad: Let's get back on track here and talk about the only problem with this kit. How am I gong to get this power to the pavement?!?!? I need some pics of sexy 18" wheels...haha! |
^^^so jealous
