I didn't want to mention which shop stated it... My 370Z was supposed to go into Tunerworks a few weeks ago, but it's been set back because of delays they experienced with LUGZ's G37. The shop manager explained to me part of the delay was due to the the kit tubing requiring modification because it was a CDN model. He cited the CDN difference compared to US bumper thicknesses. I can understand having to modify the tubing/brackets if there are other aftermarket accessories being added to it. Tunerworks didnt say my car would need to have the tubing modified, but they said they didnt know until they tried to fit it. In the back of my head I know that Sam would have given me a heads up if that was the case. Thanks for confirming it for me on this thread anyways Sam.
Im a little bit concerned now. Its starting to sound like Tunerworks may not have fitted the kit on LUGz car properly, or else they were BSing me, to buy them time. LUGZ did Tunerworks explain to you that the aluminum tubing/brackets needed changing on your GTM TT kit? BTW are they done installing the kit yet? They've been working on it for weeks now, so I hope they did a really good job with the install and that you're happy with everything. Any feedback you have about Tunerworks for me would be appreciated. If its negative, please just PM me. Thanks guys |

They had the car for almost 2.5 weeks now, here's what they told me of the delay: -Oil cooler adapter needs to be replaced, it was machined poorly (It's not a GTM kit), so not their fault, I'm getting the adapter replaced as we speak. -Fuel pump not fitting correctly, needs some sort of bracket replacement? Tunerworks stated they have contacted GTM for a replacement part, Sam if you can verify this? -They needed to order some small parts from Nissan. Going to give Casey@Tunerworks a call today to see what's up... |

Folks
I went to Tunerworks this morning so I could meet the mechanic himself, rather than just going through the shop manager. Admittedly, I just should have done this in the first place. The mechanic told me that he didnt have to do any modification to the tubing of the intercooler as it all fit fine regardless of it being a CDN car, albeit was pretty tight he said. Therefore, I'm not sure why the shop manager made up a story about the tubing being outsourced to have some aluminum welding modifications done... All the mechancis I met at Tunerworks today gave me a really good impression of their skills and I realized that they're keen on making sure their customer's installs are perfect in the end. For example, I looked at LEGZ G37 this morning, and the install looked absolutely terrific. It was very clean and tidy. The mechanic wasn't afraid to point out some minor fitment issues that he will have fixed by the time the car is done, which demonstrates he is honest and a perfectionist. Without me having to ask, the mechanics explained how great the GTM kit quality is. They said all the components we're top tier. They do a lot of high end bolt on kit installs on cars like Audi, BMW, Porsche and they said that this kit blew away most of them. I know its beaten to death on this forum how great GTM's kits are, but I'll give Sam a big thumbs up anyway ![]() This was a long winded reply, and to sum it all up I'm more comfortable now that I have met the people who are personally installing my kit. That's important to me, especially since I'm shelling out ~$4,000 to them ![]() Thanks guys |

Also, 2.5 weeks for such a big job is not unrealistic since the motor, transmission, transfer case, front differential and most of the front suspension has to come out on the AWD car to fit the twin turbo kit. Sam |
