That is done all wrong. Twin 50mm turbos with those small T3 housings on a large displacement engine are a waste of time. He would have made much more HP

That is done all wrong. Twin 50mm turbos with those small T3 housings on a large displacement engine are a waste of time. He would have made much more HP with the 62's in a T4 configuration. You can see how he runs out of breath on the last dyno (video) because the small T3's can flow enough.
On top of that, if you are going to twin charge you don't use a centrifugal supercharger. The correct way to do it is to use a roots type supercharger, as it will give you boost instantly (at 1000rpm). Somebody there forgot to do some research before spending a decent amount of money.

just for giggles what would a say vortech/procharger and a single turbo blowing into a fmic then into the motor look like could it work ?
just putting it out there i am sure it would not be the most efective but i am just tring to think how the power band would look

While you can do small and then larger turbos it's very difficult to get it working correctly. A Variable Geometry turbo is the correct way to do it. The only reason it was ever done differently in the past was because the technology was not available. |
