That Y pipe is massive -- what's the diameter?

Otherwise, looks really good -- good luck!

I think ours will spool faster then that but we will see

And thoughts on taking the restrictive stock cats off and replacing them with something allowing for better flow?

I can tell you that volume will be your main issue at that point. remember, if you put tp's or something there you are essentially running straight pipes, save for the turbo

I'm looking to probably go sts at some point later in the year, and will be getting rid of my unresonated tp's when that happens. a HFC or resonated tp might work ok

Marc at STs advised me to leave the cats stock as they carry the most heat back to the turbo and In turn spools it faster

Won't the extra heat destroy the cats faster

I am not sure how the cats can transfer heat from one location to the next. From my understanding the cats act like a sponge for heat. If it absorbs the heat, not sure how much of it is really sent down the rest of the exhaust pipe.

If you are pushing more power, the car is bound to make more heat. The increase heat will destroy those cats. I have shown proof of it on many other cars in the other STS thread. If you do a search you will find many more that had destroyed their turbos or had bent blades because of the cats coming apart.

Not sure if that was from the older system or what but I've now have over 3500 miles on my kit and the turbo is still looking good. Trust me I'm not easy on it either. Not saying I'm boosting hardcore everywhere I go but it has a lot of miles on it with no problems. My only question would be maybe there was something already wrong with their cats before the system was installed. Something like that would be hard to say if it was the turbo and the extra heat that it causes could of been the reason for that but I'm sure had a hand in it.

I know you had good points but those cars weren't 370s and you don't know what their tune was like if the tuner just dumps the fuel to it that's when they fail I had this exact talk with Marc and he told me about it and how it transfers heat I your that worried about email him, I'm not arguing with you anymore.

So when are you suppose to see your beginning numbers? I know the gauges and wiring take a minute.
