All Iv stated is by looking at the number of tranny complaints on here and my club it seems the auto is holding up better. I stated up top that I have no idea which one is in fact better. Do I know the 6mt is proven yes I think the tranny is definitly proven and it is great transmission but you cant speak for every person with a 6mt z. From my own experience with an auto z and a manual z iv had more problems with my manual. Mabe your right mabe the manual is the better of the 2 only the manual you have to be a " great shifter" which is why in the begining I said the auto system itself may be better just because theres no human error. Now a shisty shifter like yourself may not have as many problems as some with a little less shifting skills. Not everyone is a "professional shifter" like you so you cant speak for the masses. Theres more people out there running 370z on the track then just the people on this site. So ok i can rephrase what I said in the begining and say mabe the auto is a better choice for you less seasoned drivers who want to track there cars. Remember you cant teach a skill to everyone. As for me its not s shifting problem that I promise you.

I have owned 3 z's 2003 was used 75k didnt have a problem with it I got it with 40k. 2005 was new put 44k on it not a single problem. Now a 2010 ,and trust me I dont baby any car.I am not sure whats your problem ,maybe just bad luck I also know of guys I hang out with two with 370z one with a G37 all around 30k no problems 6mt.

We hang out and play all the time.
